My comment about Palin referred to her decision to resign as Governor in 2009, not to her decision not to run for President in 2012.
And let me emphasize this: I do not question her decision to resign as Governor. She put family, and family finances, ahead of her office. Nothing wrong with that.
But to save this poor country, we need another Reagan, or perhaps an American Churchill. Palin is a fine person, and she is a real asset to the conservative cause. But she is simply not a Churchill.
Even someone as wise as Churchill was rejected by his countrymen TWICE. He fell out of favor because he was a leading voice against the buildup of the Germans between the wars, and was only returned to government when Hitler showed how stupid Neville Chamberlain and his ilk were for trusting him. After the war, the people of Britain rejected him again, because they were tired of war, and didn't want to listen to anything he had to say, anymore.
So Sarah may not be the strong statesman Churchill was, but even HE was subject to the fickleness of the voter.
