Palin/Carson 2016.

Carson/Palin 2016.

I don’t care.

Let’s just get some sane Americans back in there.

We've got 4 with potential, Palin, West, Cruz and Carson, right now.
Each one can dang sure draw a crowd of conservatives.

Obama won’t allow a fair legal non rigged election to occur, and personally I don’t think we the people want to be useless votes all over again because that is exactly what became of our votes.

It would be far better to announce a different style of election, something bot the Dems or GOP cannot trainwreck.

I bought into the notion that working ‘within’ the GOP to push tea-party, conservative Constitutional reform was the way to go. I’m no longer tethered to that notion. The GOP-E, besides being so ossified and corrupt, is just too entrenched. It constantly sets up a scenario where the “tea-party conservative” is in a lose-lose situation, being stabbed in the front by the malicious Dem-media-complex, while the GOP-E colludes with them to stab you in the back. It’s a recipe for constant defeat. Better to confront both enemies head-on.

And the way things are now, judging from all the cavings and capitulations to Obama on just about every issue from fiscal cliffs to amnesty, we’ve already become a de-facto “one-party rule” country without a voice of opposition. It’s like there is no “opposition party” whatsoever anymore, watching the the Boehner/Rove GOP.

I like Sarah Palin. I do.

She is, however, just not presidential material.

Sarah (who was under tremendous media attack at the time) chose to resign from the governorship of Alaska in 2009.

Again, I really, really like Sarah, but she was not able to maintain in a difficult situation; and, the media attacks on a GOP president have been, and would be, much worse.

George Dubya Bush managed to maintain his dignity (and courageously so) during eight years of media siege that was worse than the (admittedly awful) Palin attacks.

For a GOPer, the WH kitchen gets horribly hot, and if one can't take it, then one shouldn't consider it.

Again, I like Sarah. I do. She is just not pres material.

(Donning asbestos undies.)

I should add to my post that Palin would be my ideal Tea Party choice, due not just to her solid ideological credentials, but her incorruptable history. Virtually all politicians tend to be beholden to varied interests from Party machines to unions to corporate donors to special interest groups and the whole plethora. It’s such a rarity to find one like Palin who isn’t, and who even had a record of fighting corruption within her own party, resigning from a high-paying, high-power commission over it. The only things Palin showed herself beholden to were the Constitution first and the people second. She’s the epitome of the kind of reformer/leader the country desperately needs.

But the likelihood of that happening admittedly looks a bit dim to me. The country has become far too degenerate, far too corrupt, with a deep-seated moral bankrupcy and a culture akin to an open sewer. Hard to see Palin making headway in this decaying, degraded environment. She’s more a reflection of the country and culture as it used to be, when it both asprired to and displayed greatness. I’d still support her, and a Tea Party agenda, of course. Big time. At very least as one last gesture, one last effort, against what appears to be an unsalvageable country in its waning end-days.

It would be nice - probably take a lot of flak for “being a quitter”, “misleading people about her intentions for 2012”, etc, etc., and that’s just from our side...

This writer is very naive. If a significant number of the currently sitting members of Congress (more specifically the Senate) are not replaced at the same time then the few that replaces the corrupt ones or dead weight only end up being flipped or turned by the larger remaining corrupt majority. We saw that happen with the 2010 House elections.

This is all the more the reason to start splintering off from the Republican Party into an all independent force. The status quo is no longer palpable. The time for change is NOW!
