Well, the results are in and everything we predicted came true. Because we ARE patriots we supported YOUR candidate, Mitt Romney.
It is shameful the way the TEA PARTY and CONSERVATIVE base was dismissed, ignored and disrespected throughout the year. Ron Paul delegates were shut out of the process and denied their right to cast their votes for their delegate at the convention in Tampa. This was poisonous to our cause.
Sarah PALIN was also the most qualified person to lead the party this year and she was shunned. There will be people saying how it was her fault she didnt do more, or that she is not qualified or experienced enough to be president should she decide to run.
I have news for you. The party is over. Your party. The GOP has failed and Mitt Romney lost because of his own mistakes. LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE REPUBLICANS never win races, even when they fake being REFORMED CONSERVATIVES. Let this be a lesson.
And may I add: YOU will not blame Sarah PALIN for what happened in 2012. She will NOT be scapegoated like she was by Mitt Romneys advisors in 08. It will not be tolerated by us, her supporters, which represent MOST of the party base.
SHAME on you for NOT listening to us, for not heeding our warnings, and for being so obstinate and missing the point.
Its time for YOU TO accept responsibility for this failure.
Sincerely yours,
Isabel Matos Miami, FL
So if you had your way the rape/incest and life of mother are all not in the platform. That will always lose. And so, guess what ? The millions of convenience abortions that I abhor ? Well we won’t get to stop those either.
Grow Up.
the place to stop the barbarians is at the gates, and in the traditional manner. opening the door and letting them run over you is not going to work any better now than it ever did. i do not believe in ahemsa.

- not the way to go.
My lack of moral standards? Sure. I have worked diligently in the prolife movement since 1975.
I also have a child with a profound disability. She will be
horribly affected by the evil new healthcare.
It was imperative that we at least get as many weapons in our arsenal to try to slow it down.
You are a pompous ass and smugly self righteous.
This will come back to bite you.
Even with an near ideal conservative party, there is still the liberal media.
It’s a propaganda organ that provides the pravda to the ignorant masses.
They can convince the 50% of stupid americans that 4% unemployment is bad and near recession, but 8-9% is OK and the new normal.
No, there was no excuse for it. Democrats wouldn’t have done so had there been a special election for a prominent GOP member. When Dennis Hastert resigned, they went into that solid GOP district and snatched it (a district that had only gone Democrat once since after 1934, in the Watergate landslide). Steele willfully ignored an excellent, articulate candidate. A Hispanic woman, pro-life, pro-borders, a solid Conservative. Precisely the kind of candidate the party needs to run more of and expand appeal. He should’ve been fired before the year (2009) was out.
Right on the money.
Then the environment must be changed.
By any means necessary.
Thank you for taking the time to put this important post together and sharing it with us.
What you’re saying about Palin being unelectable, is exactly the same argument used against Ronald Reagan by RINOS back in the late 1970s.
The Marxists used their Alynsky tactics against individuals such as Mrs.Palin, and you fell for it.
The problem is with you, not her.
PLease spread this as as many as you can. I’m trying to get it into the hands of someone with stroke enough to do something about it.
GOP-e candidates tend to be unelectable ~ we need to stop running them, and the best way to do that is for the GOP-e to withdraw from the Republican party and go back to cutting coupons and tending to their hedge!
I have not fallen for anything and the problem is not me....it is merely an observation. I have met very few women who have a positive view of Palin.
The mention of Palin to most women seems to elicit this visceral hatred of her. Until this reaction among women moves into something approaching either ambivalence or even grudging respect, she is not a viable candidate no matter what her policy proscriptions.
Over the past four years, it is not just the liberal women who scoff, but the middle of the roader’s too. I don’t know very many conservative women, and the ones I do know won’t touch her either.
Just let it go. Palin’s political future is zero for now.
And make no mistakes, I am not bashing her, but the drive-by media has the long knives out for her and she is going nowhere.
She and others were looking at that ENORMOUS victory the Dems had just had where they fielded a record 69 million Democrat voters.
Little did she suspect they'd only get out 39 million in the 2010 mid-terms ~ a 40% drop!
I bet you thought we won the election ~ not that the Democrats lost it. In fact, we had a 15 million drop in voters from 2008 to 2010. In the end we fielded 44 million voters that year and swamped the Democrats.
Notice these huge fluctuations ~ this is the passing of the Baby Boomers off life's stage. That's now an established fact. They are well into their 60s and dying like flies! There'll be some regional bumps here and there where clusters of them gather, but in 10 years they are gone as a force.
They came. They voted. They won and lost. And finally, they died.
A few of them will hold on as old timers and be like my dad ~ well into their 90s, still alert, still concerned.
So, what was it you would expect a Republican candidate to do in the very belly of the beast!
BTW, I"d have voted for Gregory Bedell in the special primary election ~ which Pulido won with 25% of the vote ~ rather a Romneyesque sort of candidate.
Seriously, you run in the Democrat party's premiere district and expect Republicans to toss millions to you to finance what almost anyone would view as a totally hopeless campaign....... hard to feel sorry for her ~ she tried, but she needed to relocate to a better district.
Winner M. Quigley (i) Dem 65.6% 168,530 votes.
Versus D. Schmitt GOP 28.7% 73,860 voters
And N. Wade Grn 5.7% 14,555 voters.
That is hard core Democrat. This Quigley guy was still running on a campaign in favor of a high speed rail line from the 5th district to downtown St. Louis. The line would be 110 MPH ~ cost about 50 billion dollars and have maybe 10 passengers a day.
That's the kind of district NO Republican ~ and aren't we all men and women of ideas? ~ could win. Those people stepped out of IDIOCRACY. Maybe an exciting funny truck smack down might attract them ~ more likely mud wrestling contests on Fridays.
The reason to run a Republican is simple ~ have a name on the ballot just in case a massive plague hits the area leaving behind only Republican voters. Otherwise not a lot of need to spend money there.
Meet more women. Stay away from Democrats.
“I have not fallen for anything and the problem is not me....it is merely an observation..... I have met very few women who have a positive view of Palin”
What kind of women?.....I’ve met plenty of women who love Palin....They are out there.....And I don’t mean a few either......The woman pulled 60,000,000 votes.....That was not McCain who was drawing 35,000 to 60,000 to his campaign rallies and that was at the height of the Obama mania and the negative press citing what an idiot she is....In fact they were a few points ahead in the polls just 2 weeks out until he threw the election and suspended his campaign and then went on to tell us we did not need to fear an Obama presidency!!!......Unbelievable......
You just keep living there in “purity” land while the rest of us live here in realville.
This is my last response to you.
