Conservatives that can't vote for Romney VANITY

Posted on 11/02/2012 11:06:00 AM PDT by birdsman

I know that some freepers are reluctant to vote for Romney because he's not conservative enough. Few of us wanted him to be the Republican nominee, and for good reason. This is why I'm voting Libertarian this year. I know the mantra, a vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Obama, but that's not true in deep blue states like mine (New York). I propose that conservatives in deep blue states agree to vote 3rd party. In return, conservatives in toss up states can hold their noses while voting for Romney.

As they say, you can lead someone to logic but you can’t make them think. For the love of God, please dont cast a vote that keeps the treasonous marxist in office!

People with your mindset strike me as the 'Conscientious Objector' type.

Hiding behind some ostentatious self-righteous rationalization or other while everyone else gets on with the distasteful/dangerous task of ensuring the freedom that you so cavalierly abuse.

.. and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Some evangelicals think Catholics and Mormons both belong to cults. Anybody who calls themselves pro-life has no business sitting this one out or throwing away their vote.

Good God, do you really think Gary Johnson has a smidgen of a chance to win the presidency? Yes, a vote for Johnson or anyone else besides Mitt IS a vote for obama. Wake the hell up.

Vote AGAINST O....make sure Romney wins....look a half a loaf is better than none. You can complain and say he isn’t conservative enough. Good for you. Being a purist in politics will get you to the same place a vote for Johnson (or Barr or any of the others) will get you....nowhere.

Go to WND and read David Kupelian’s article entitled Beware The Lesser of Two Evil’s Trap ....see if that doesn’t move you.

Whenb Romney wins it will be up to US to hold his feet to the fire....same is true for house and senate. It is time we do our part

You're just jealous.

BTW, you and Gary are both wrong about Mitt ~ he's not Conservative at all ~ not a hair ~ just doesn't understand it and is unlikely to after what his father did to his mind when he was but a young chil!.

Are you aware that the legislature in Massachusetts is totally controlled by Democrats? The State Supreme Court is too. The governor of that state has very little power so conservatives will always get “the worst of those deals” no matter who is governor.

No. For one, Gary Johnson is a socialistic turdpie.

Secondly, although the popular vote is not necessary, it is important for Romney to win to prevent any kind of "the people have spoken" shennanigans by Obama. I've heard and spoken with many liberals who are saying that if Obama loses electorally and wins popularly, he should not and possibly will not concede the office.

Just suck it up and vote for Romney. Jim Robinson did, and thats good enough for me.

Free man can vote as they choose. We don’t need grand bargains. That’s the beauty of our system.

For the first time since 1976 I will pass on the top of the ticket. I will go vote down ticket though.

Obama and the rest of the democrats thank you.  Don't forget to pick up your complimentary Obama-Phone© on the way out of the voting booth where you just indirectly voted for the Barack Hussein Obama.

You are right, but after hearing about Romney’s successes and amazing charitable acts (for which he is EXCRUCIATINGLY humble) I am now a Romney supporter.

And I will vote for him without holding my nose.

I think he knows how to fix things.

I WAS 100% AGAINST HIM but the primaries are over

The time to make your protest vote is IN THE PRIMARIES - where your vote is worth 10 times as much because usually only 10% of the eligible voters vote.

“I’m voting for Ryan, I’m voting for Ryan, I’m voting for Ryan. This is my mantra so I don’t have to think about mittens too much while I’m voting AGAINST obama.”

Me too. Same way I voted for Palin. See my tagline.

In a binary race like this one, any vote other than for the R is inexcusable and is a stupid decision.

Blue state or not, it is an act of ignorance and foolishness.

Which is cancelled out by 10 more Catholics voting for Obama.

looking for others to unstop your sewer while you remain pure? I’m enthusiastic about this election because of the prospect of getting rid of obama. New York votes still count in the popular vote and he needs to be beaten badly enough to dampen there efforts at challenges etc. but if you believe that your and other libertarian votes are inconsequential, stand firm a revel in your irrevelance.

your best choice is to go get somebody who usually doesn't vote to go vote this time ~ there are 90 million eligible adult Americans who regularly don't vote so you have a lot of choice.

Harrasing people with some interest in politics to vote is a whole different game than finding new voters.

BTW, the name of the game is turnout ~ and if you let Democrats show up to vote you are losing that game. They are not likely to vote for a Republican anyway.

You could go drive on the sidewalk in a Democrat part of town and make a real impact on the race.

“no Libertarian will win any office”

I cannot understand to save my life this motive to vote on the winning side. It can’t possibly make any difference considering a single vote any other way cancels yours out, and though perhaps some dog catcher race came down to a one-vote margin, no federal official that I know of has ever won or lost by a single vote. And we all know, anyway, that lib’s would never, ever let it be decided by a single vote. So why try to disused any single voter?

I know, because it’s always the old switcheroo. You’re always thinking in terms of masses of votesml. But thus guy is not a mass. He’s one person. Despite what you civics class taught in junior high individual votes don’t matter. Which I guess means voting your conscience doesn’t matter, either. Except insofar as it matters to your conscience.

My plan right now is to vote for Ryan as well, most likely by write in. In Tennessee, it will not change the outcome. There are few states that I believe this can be said for this cycle.
