Chris Matthews, Chuck Todd and Jonathan Martin discuss the state of the race on "Hardball."
(snip) MATTHEWS: If he has hard movement the next two weeks as he had two weeks ago, is he the winner? Is he the winner?
TODD: Yes.
MARTIN: Yes, absolutely.
TODD: Absolutely, yeah. If that moved that way, sure.

Reality creeping into Chrissy’s mind. Don’t do that Chrissy. I want you to entertainment me on November 6th.
Chrissie just had a loose movement.
There you have it.
They know the wave ‘could’ be coming and is just over the horizon, they can hear a very smooth hummm and persistent sound coming in from the distance. Chris wants to ask and be sure so he knows to take appropriate cover when it hits!
Obama has been IRRESPONSIBLE on domestic issues, such as the economy, jobs, debt for almost 3 1/2 years.
Obama’s Foreign Policy has ended in a series of BLUNDERS.
Obama has failed at everything that he was elected to do.
Deal with it Matthews, deal with it.
Like in ‘Zulu Dawn.” That eerie, rushing thundering sound coming from the distance, then louder, then seemingly everywhere at once...
Selfishly, I am right there with you. I want them to go into election night with that same tingly feeling that they had after crazy Joe’s performance. Unselfishly, and more charitably, I want them to ... actually, I still want them to be blindsided by this.
Let’s not forget :Updated election forecasting model still points to Romney win, University of Colorado study says http://www.colorado.edu/news/releases/2012/10/04/updated-election-forecasting-model-still-points-romney-win-university
Edge? He’s got the WHOLE dang sword!
Prissy is not feeling the tingle.
He is clearly scared.
What? We want them to be demoralized. “What’s the point of getting off my couch to vote...Romney will win anyway...”
This is the part of the game where these media elites start to speak in a way that they figure most people will think they got it right no matter what happens. IF Obama were to win, they were with him the whole time, so they’re as “brilliant” as ever. BUT, in reality, when Romney does win they can refer back to clips like these and say that they called it right.
Matthews, who has been nothing but a disgrace, can tell his 17 viewers that they heard it right there on his show that Romney could make the push. Of course, he wasn’t the one who said it, but he’s busy doing a different show where he tries to win the president’s heart in some twisted video dating sort of thing.
My best advice to everyone is to just continue to not watch this guy’s show, but everyone was already on board for that, so my work is done.
MSNBC viewers aren’t numerous enough to be a difference maker, and they will probably vote anyway. I see what you are saying, but the meltdown would be epic, and would be the kind of thing you could tell your grandchildren about. So I will take that chance (not that what I wish for has any affect on what will actually happen).
I’m looking forward to that clown, James Carville, putting the wastebasket over his head again, as he did when George Bush won re-election....a fond memory that deserves a reprise.
They may be blindsided by just how big Romney’s win will be. They live in this DC/NY bubble, speak only to others of like mind. They are totally alienated from ‘middle America.’
“There’s that train again!”
“They may be blindsided by just how big Romneys win will be. They live in this DC/NY bubble, speak only to others of like mind. They are totally alienated from middle America.”
On the other hand, we didn’t see it coming when Obama won. We just focused on the large crowds for Palin in red districts.
Oh, I saw an O win coming. From the time McCain put his campaign on hold forward, McCain/Palin never regained the Big Mo. O drew the same size crowds she did. And O wasn’t the target of relentless panning in the media.
Obama was perceived as this cool guy running against an old guy and a dumb hick chick. They were almost successful in defining Romney, however incorrectly, as a cold, callous, heartless capitalist. Then came Debate #1, and Romney was able to define himself, destroying millions of dollars of advertising in the process.
I hope it’s a stomping. The stink of the con artists formerly known as ACORN may be rising. Rush’s dictum: If it’s a landslide they can’t cheat enough to win.
