"Obama campaign introduced a tongue-in-cheek ad that compares Big Bird to Bernard L. Madoff and other corporate criminals." It was not a "tongue-in-cheek ad", it was a trial balloon. It turned out to be a ten ton lead balloon that wouldn't even float on water. So now the lap dog NYT has to try to resurrect Cutter with a puff piece. It's simply lip stick on a pig.
