Everyone agrees that Obama has to win the next one. I don’t think he can. I just do not think it is possible. The public smells blood in the water now, and they will be watching every twitch, every glance, every breath he takes.
Even worse (from his point of view), the MSM has really been taking it in the shorts this election cycle, so they are not going to be able to get away with pitching him softballs.
The simple truth is that Barry is not good enough. He never was. Call him a Potemkin president, a straw man, a paper tiger, chose your own metaphor, he is an illusion and always has been. Stripped of TelePrompTer and the power and trappings of his office, he’s a nobody.
He was never up to this level of power or responsibility. Never. Which is why he has screwed up everything he touched.
Let’s talk on Nov. 7 after Obama goes down. Until then we need to fight like we’re behind.
You’re absolutely right and in the debates, Obama has no room to run from his dismal record. It was encouraging to hear Mitt give specific examples of what he’d do in office and back up his assertions with citations. (”The CBO says...” vs. Obama’s “studies say...”) Gives him much more weight and credibility than Obama can hope to muster.
