Akin didn't say anything remotely like "magical."
This ridicule of the concept he was trying to articulate (of female endocrine changes in response to a traumatic attack) is more typical of a Leftist attack, than of Right-wing reason.
Why are people who are allegedly on the Right, now parroting the Alinsky-ites?
That's exactly what Republicans are doing who are piling on Akin, using the ridicule and the language of the Left.
People on right are just shocked at the complete lack of political competence on part of Akin. No matter how principled a candidate is, he/she still needs to avoid stupid statements. Saying a woman has remote chance of getting pregnant due to rape is simply moronic, untrue, and idiotic.
So he was merely trying to articulate a concept?
ROTFLMAO!
What other interesting “concepts” has he not yet “articulated” that may be of interest to his potential constituents?
"... if its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.
So Mr. Akin knows that females are capable of certain internal reproductive mechanisms that can self-regulate prenancy, yet these mechanisms remain undiscovered by modern medicine.
Oh, wait, I just taled to Dr. Quack!
Akin currently serves on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
Oh no.
“Akin didn’t say anything remotely like “magical.”
No, because he THINKS it’s scientific. But he admitted on Hannity today that he was “mistaken” about that.
Sure, it’s not likely you’ll get pregnant if you are raped, but it can happen. There is no natural defense against pregnancy when raped.
Not for nothing, but he’s even incapable of making a good apology.
He gave McCaskill, the sure loser, a lifeline.
The man is a moron.
