You are exactly right. I'm 61 and slid under the destruction of pubic (no error of spelling) education. It seems we have run out of people who know how to think. It has already come back to bite us in the ass.

I weep for our country.

nothingnew, I saw the deterioration of public education firsthand. I retired from teaching after 31 years in 1999 and it had gradually changed over that period of time. From what my former students who are now teachers/school administrators tell me, it has changed drastically since I retired. Thankfully we still have a lot of sane teachers who didn’t drink the kool-aid in our local system.
