Barack Obama will get 96% of the black vote. Period. What’s at stake are the enthusiasm and intimidation factors.

If black enthusiasm lags, it could affect black turnout. And if Obama is not able to intimidate whites with black backlash, that could lower his white vote.

Hence, he is campaigning in black barbershops.

I agree with you - for the ones that actually go to the polls. But just think of how many will simply stay home and not vote because of the lack of support.

I agree that Obama will get the vast majority of the black who decide to vote. That will be the key, they will not show up so the number of black voters will be down. Thus the ones who do will still vote for O.

Instead of voting for a Republican, they will stay home, and that will be even worse than if they show up and vote for Romney. Main because they would still vote down ticket for Democrats.

This is real bad news for Democrats who were already looking at a tough road to maintain their numbers in congress.

There are many districts around the country that Democrats win mostly on the strength of the black who, and so those members of congress could lose to the republican challenger.

We could see another 60 seat pickup in the House and maybe even a 60 plus seat majority in the Senate, if Blacks stay home.

Study what happened in Florida when the Democrats removed the extreme liberal black that was the Speaker of the Florida House. The democrats have not controlled Florida since because Blacks turned their backs on them.
