Cruz had been the Solicitor General of Texas serving under Attorney General Greg Abbott.

If Greg kept him around for five years that is MORE than good enough for me.

Going over my Heritage Alliance Voter guide as I "speak."

FYI - There are some nasty ads running against Cruz. Been seeing them on Hulu. Claim he is working for a Chinese firm that stole technology from an American firm. Looks like a dirty tricks hit piece.

, “I think it is absolutely right that the Hispanic community is fundamentally conservative, and unfortunately most Republicans are lousy at reaching out to Hispanics. They tend to do one of two things. They either hang a piñata or they throw a Cinco de Mayo party. It’s condescending and patronizing. It doesn’t work. Or, the other thing they do is often even worse. They try to become Democrat Lite. They try to say, ‘we’ll give you part of a welfare state.’ They think that will appeal in the Hispanic community. The values that resonate in the Hispanic community are faith, family, patriotism. You know the rate of military enlistment is higher among Hispanics than any other demographic?

Sing it Ted

“...Curzon said Cruz has been described as a “Cuban, Ivy League Tea Partier,”...

That is not true. Cruz is a Canadian, Ivy League Partier.

Today, my wife and I voted for Ted Cruz in the GOP Primary - Early Voting. (Yep, our little rural county in Southeast Texas has Early Voting on Saturday.)

Sarah Palin has already produced an automated calling list recorded message for Ted. I got it about two hours ago. I usually hang up on all prerecorded political calls, but when I heard Palin’s voice I listened to all of it. Made me feel good that she is supporting the same candidate as I am.

I voted for him this morning, & would have even if Sarah had endorsed someone else. He’s a member of my church (Houston’s First Baptist).

I got a call from Sarah today too. My mom voted on Monday & she got a call from someone saying “We see you have already voted, will you share with us who you voted for in such & such (she doesn’t remember) race?” She told them it was still a secret ballot & she preferred to keep it that way. Too many people know stuff that is none of their business!

They did not ask for my id even though I had not yet signed my voter registration card. IIRC we have a voter id law in Texas but some prog judge is holding it up. Also, they gave me a choice as to whether or not to have my card stamped “Republican.” I declined.

I voted for “Uncommitted” for prez.

I’ll Have Another!!!!!!
