Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin discussed why she hasn't endorsed a candidate yesterday on FOX Business Network. Sarah said Newt Gingrich was the toughest fighter in the race.
"You know that is what I'm saying today. I'm saying that David because Newt has learned through that school of hard knocks. And you know that is where character is shaped and that is where character is revealed. In times of controversy and conflict. Not at a time of convenience and comfort. I see that in Newt that he has learned, that he has been sharpened and strengthened through all of that and I think that would bode well for what it is that we need in terms of fighting that Obama machine that we'll be up against."

BUMP!
Hooah
Humans are purified in the crucible of calling, experience and personal strength.
Churchill is a modern example.
Samson is an ancient one.
They don’t always shine until the moment arrives...
But,but,but what about santorum?He’s tough./sarc
Nothing says true grit like a sweater vest and public displays of religion.
Yep, that sweater vest is scary only to conservatives know realize how that’s going to sell in the general election. Sheesh.
Which brings up a question in my mind: besides the singer from Mega Death who thinks Santorum should be President because he has a sick daughter, where are all the great Santorum endorsers?
I mean, Newt’s got some impressive enemies but he has some damned impressive backers too. Santorum? Not so much.
There is something very odd about this video. It says it was uploaded to YouTube on the 17th, but in the video, Sarah Palin says there are 46 states left to go — so this seems to be the interview she did after Florida and before Nevada, which was several weeks ago.
BTW, I’m not disputing this, just wondering why this aired yesterday with her comment about 46 states remaining. After all, she’s been saying this for a while, she said it to Susteren back in early February.
The Megadeath singer actually didn’t endorse Santorum at all. It was a misunderstanding.

“I mean, Newts got some impressive enemies but he has some damned impressive backers too. Santorum? Not so much.”
I noticed that also when I saw a photo lineup up Santorum’s endorsers. The list reads like the Who’s Who of people we don’t care that much about. Mind you, I don’t dislike Malkin or Levin, but it’s not quite as formidable a list as Newt’s.
I can’t think of anyone endorsing Santorum except some in the conservative media - until DeWine jumped aboard this weekend.
So which are you? A Cain Conservative? Or for Santorum Huckabee 2012 as a ticket.
Herman ain’t having none of that mess.
And still, much of the smart GOP leadership wont listen to her. And people here bash her.
SoCon, baby! (But I’m not mad about it - Huck)
PublicPolicyPolling @ppppolls
...our AZ numbers (out tomorrow) and WA ones (out Tuesday) are good for Santorum.
Woo hoo!
Bye-bye Willard the Masssachusetts Liberal! Obama’s next!
LOL. There's a trail of fellow FReepers wondering the same thing. And .....
We're still waiting ........
