(CBS News) Pastor Joel Osteen, one of America's most popular religious figures, said on "CBS This Morning" that GOP candidate Mitt Romney believes in Jesus like he does.
"What I see about Governor Romney is that he says, 'I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, he's raised from the dead and he's my savior.' I see him as being a believer in Christ, like me."
Charlie Rose said, "That's enough for you?"
"That's enough for me," Osteen said. "There's differences in all religion. I realize Mormonism is different from Christianity, but you know what, he's a man of faith and values. And to me, that's strong."

Osteen doesn’t believe in the true Christ though....he’s a heretic.
“My husband and I watch Pastor Osteen’s program every chance we get”
If one is into the feel good, everyone goes to heaven brand of Christianity along with Rick Warren, then I imagine Osteen is the man for you.
I wouldn’t waste my time watching Osteen.
Thank you for posing this article, Saundra.
One wolf in sheep’s clothing standing up for the other.
Osteen is a slimy smarmy grifter of a snake-oil salesman.
Other than that I’m sure he’s a nice fellow.
As a pastor he should know better and speak the truth. Has he disavowed the Holy Spirit? Don’t Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers? Just goes to show you have to know the Bible for yourself.
Osteen = Clueless about Mormonism
Osteen is deluding millions of people with his prosperity gospel. I think he got started innocently enough, but he now numbers among the deceived.
Osteen = Clueless
There, fixed it.
I was not aware that Joel Osteen was a mormon.
Or is he just an idiot?
—I wouldnt waste my time watching Osteen.-
I did once. It was not a waste of time. I learned that once was all I needed. And his comments in this article confirm it.
Huck let that cat out of the bag last cycle resulting in Willard garnering a grand total of 14% in SC.
Why is this CURRENT field so timid?
I was not aware that Osteen believed that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers.

Apparently it is one of those “birds of a feather” sort of things. What do you think? Could it be that if Romney wins we have discovered the AntiChrist and the false prophet? What a team, spanning two different religious groups.
Osteen should have added like me “he believes in the prosperity gospel, is a fraud, and knows how to enrich himself.”
Is Osteen a Christian?
I’m sure he’s clued in like Willard on how to rake in $10 mil per week due to our tax laws.
—I realize Mormonism is different from Christianity...—
Osteen knows more than I thought.
