(CBS News) Pastor Joel Osteen, one of America's most popular religious figures, said on "CBS This Morning" that GOP candidate Mitt Romney believes in Jesus like he does.
"What I see about Governor Romney is that he says, 'I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, he's raised from the dead and he's my savior.' I see him as being a believer in Christ, like me."
Charlie Rose said, "That's enough for you?"
"That's enough for me," Osteen said. "There's differences in all religion. I realize Mormonism is different from Christianity, but you know what, he's a man of faith and values. And to me, that's strong."

Sort of like John McCain in the debate when asked when life begins, no equivocation but a quick, no nonsense, "life begins at conception". One of the few things I found to like about McCain.
I too watched Osteen on Larry King and was dumb founded to hear a so called Christian Preacher trip all over himself and not be able to clearly say that Jesus Christ is the only way. It is a defining belief of Christianity.
Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer to that one. She is very careful in her support and tries to stay subtle in her support. For some reason she wants to stay at FreeRepublic. I wouldn't, if I were her and thought that everybody here hated me.
Saundra, I don't hate you, I love you so much that I'm praying that you will be delivered.
“I Will Be a Second Mohammed
In the heat of the Missouri Mormon War of 1838, Joseph Smith made the following claim, I will be to this generation a second Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was the Alcoran [Koran] or the Sword. So shall it eventually be with usJoseph Smith or the Sword! [1]...”

Etc Etc.
Mu ha mad and the Glass Looker Joseph Smith. Con-artist birds of a feather.
[Both Mohammed and Joseph Smith taught that true salvation was to be found only in their respective religions.]
Same ol same ol...
who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world, and through all time;

I always assumed that the anti-Christ would be somewhat suave though. Romney and Osteen are plastic ken-dolls. Do you see how they both have that same, fake, eternal smile? What a boring apocalypse with those two running it.
He denies Jesus Christ by endorsing a Mormon cultist. He is weak and is unwilling to stand up for the saving message of Christ that you claim to embrace from him. There is a hell, and there is need for repentance. Being a “man of faith” is not good enough. One must have faith in Jesus Christ.
“I realize Mormonism is different from Christianity”
No matter her views, she is a beloved FReeper. She is primarily responsible for bringing to light the link to abortions and breast cancer.
Say what you will, but I care about her, and hope she and her views are welcome and respected here, just as yours are.
From her homepage:
#11 Oh, and I sued Planned Parenthood (me and two other California women); we filed law suit in San Diego in August 2001 to force PP to tell the truth about the link between abortion and breast cancer. Was on Blanquita Cullum radio program (Wash DC) to discuss this issue. Go to www.AbortionBreastCancer.com to read about the ABC Link.
The following is my entire statement:

Tell me, exactly what is it that's "disrespectful" about it and what part tells you whether I "care" or not? The part where I told her "I love her and was praying for her" maybe?
She supports Mitt Romney, I have zero respect for that.
Post your evidence or go away.
You can say WOW all you want. But can you provide Bible references proving these things wrong? It always amazes me how some people out there think they have all the authority to decide that their interpretation of the Bible is the correct one and that everyone else is wrong. Yet its these same people who fail to specifically define how they got such authority. Personally here’s what I believe.
1. I do not think that God and Mary had physical sex.
2. I do not think that blacks and indians were cursed by God with dark skin.
3. I know the Bible says that faith without works is dead and that a lot of people interpret it to mean different things.
4. I know that there are many people in Missouri who believe in Jesus Christ. However I do not believe that Jesus Christ is going to rule from Independence, MO during a millenium.
Your lack of knowledge about Judaism and the Tanach is breath-taking. Stick with being an anti-Mormon and leave real religion to the adults.
Well; when some dude with VERY shady history shows up and CLAIMS that GOD personally talked to him; by golly THEN I'll belief the OTHER stuff! ;^)
So you think the BOM is fiction so much so you left the cult and you don’t belief the tripe you posted YET you defend them and argue from their position and argue that their very strange false ideas could be true via the Holy Bible.
Sounds like some one needs to pick a team...
So is it safe to assume that you don’t have a strong testimony that the Kinderhook Plates are the word of God? Well that’s assuming they were translated correctly ;)
I’m not arguing that such beliefs are true. I’m just arguing that I believe that nobody has yet made the case to me that the correct interpretation of the Bible specifically rule them out. It’s important IMHO to me for anyone making the claim that the Bible teaches something or prohibits something that they ought to provide references and also specify the authority by which they make such claims.
Suppose your authority is vested in you by the Lady of the Lake throwing you Excalibur and saying that thou shalt be King of the Britians then by all means say so. If its by some other means then say so too.
>>real religion to the adults.
LOL. Says the Mormon Mystery Cult “true believer”.
How’s James Paul Lewis enjoying having his magic undies washed in Federal Prison; having a hard time reaching the next rung up the ladder in is cell, is he?
FAIL.
