So what does Hillary gain from this? If she is VP she still has to wait 4 more years to run for president. Will the country give the dems 12 years in a row?
If Obama/Hillary ticket loses she will be tainted (because she was placed on the ticket to help elect Obama).
Would Obama want her on the ticket? That would make him look weak having to have a woman save his presidency. Also he would always have to deal with Bill and Hillary stealing his spotlight.
Eh...it’s a possibility, I suppose. I just don’t think it all that likely.
The election is only a little over 9 months away, and I can’t foresee a graceful exit strategy for Biden. I see a huge potential for backlash - Joe’s good enough to be veep for 3 years but all of a sudden it has to be Hillary? Or, Hil wasn’t good enough in 2008 but now she’s okay? Obama would be wide open to criticism on his judgment and a host of other areas.
Beyond that, I think Hillary has her own plans for 2016.
Hildegarde is planning to run in 2016, and if Mittens by some hellish miracle wins this Nov, she’s in!

I don’t know about anyone else but I wouldn’t want to be the heartbeat between Hillary and the Oval Office.
This is Obama’s secret weapon. I have grave misgivings that no matter who the Republican nominee is, Obama will switch Biden for Hillary and sweep in enough dissatisfied Democrats and independents to win.
The question will be one of timing...would he do it early or would he keep this option in reserve and if he’s really in trouble, pull it off as an October Surprise? All it would take is for Biden to suddenly develop “heart problems”, making way for Hillary to ride the tide into November.
Consider too, with Hillary in the veep spot, Obama’s eligibility suddenly becomes an issue and she slides into the nomination. Maybe his records will turn up just like the billing records.
It must drive Biden crazy.
