On Wednesdays edition of Now with Alex Wagner, the eponymous host asked MSNBC commentator Meghan McCain if her party was in crisis. McCain trashed the Iowa caucus and dreaded the rise of surging Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum. My father did not become the nominee having anything to do with the Iowa caucus. I find it completely irrelevant. If Rick Santorum becomes the nominee of this party, I mean, it is going to be bedlam and hysteria like you have never seen.
With her over-the-top prognostication for the pending apocalypse in that scenario, McCain appeared to be channeling Bill Murray from Ghostbusters, with implying her party would be headed for a disaster of biblical proportions if it nominated the former Pennsylvania Senator.
Hot Airs Tina Korbe thought that whenever the blogette referenced her fathers path to the nomination, she instantly (lost) points.
What she seems never to have realized and what, I think, makes her so aggravating to conservatives is that plenty of Republicans look at 2008 and regret their nomination of John McCain. In large part, the stiff opposition to Romney stems as much from the fear of repeating the mistake the GOP made in 2008 the mistake of nominating the next in line even when that next in line espouses troublesome views and hasnt proved himself a particularly adept campaigner.

Channeling Bill Murray from Caddyshack maybe.
What she does behind closed doors is none of my business.
Meghan McCain is like my nightmare idea of a Sex and the City fan. She just talks and talks and thinks everyone thinks what she says is fascinating and doesn’t realize it’s because her mom owns a brewery.
A small mind is a terrible thing to waste.
She could be correct.
I can see her throwing a hissy fit.
Seconded.
My life is measured in seconds. I don't have that many to spare.
And even at that they’d still have to be sampling product heavily from the brewery to find what she says fascinating.
She and Margaret Hoover are both irritating twits, but McCain is SO disgusting.
Best FR response to headline “McCain Endorses Romney” was “Which one?”
Santorum went from “boring” to “bedlam and hysteria like you have never seen.”
I predict in 15 years Meghan will still be fat and stupid..
Probably more of both...
As we know, we always do the opposite of what she suggests.
You know, like, uh, for sure, you know, sorta, like, man, uh, you know.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. More evidence Rick Santorum is the guy to support and overturn the whole cart of rotten RINO apples.
