Ron Paul spoke tonight at Keene State College, and as is being reported nationally, was mic checked by Occupy Keeneat the end of his speech. The occupiers said:
We are the 99%! We will be heard! There are criminals on Wall Street who walk free, there are protesters in jail Theres something wrong with this system. We are the 99%! We will be heard!
He handled it graciously by smiling throughout and then by asking them if they feel better. He was also sure to point out his agreement with the Occupy Wall St. movement, saying,
Im very much involved with the 99. Ive been condemning the 1% the people on Wall street got the bailouts and you guys got stuck with the bill and I think thats where the problem is.

PS I am for Cain.
BTTT
Clean-ups at “Occupy Wall Street” sites prove the movement is full of crap. So is Paul.
I am in no way supporting Paul or OWS. However, in his statement...
“...the people on Wall street got the bailouts and you guys got stuck with the bill and I think thats where the problem is.
I am in total agreement with him, and the OWS, as misguided as most of them are.
Just look at Corzine and the folks profiled in “Throw Them All Out.” These people should be in jail! But, they aren’t.
It’s frustrating...
OWS supports Obama. They are Obama2012 brownshirts.
Why blame corporations for bailouts? Blame the government for bailing them out.
It would have taken a true act of courage on the part of Ron Paul to have said “say, did y’all hear what Newt had to say the other day? He told you to get a bath, and go find a job!”
Now THAT would have been interesting.
I have no problem with folks I don’t care for running for president, but Ron Paul is a democrat’s dream. He will run third party and siphon off enough votes in districts to help Obama.
If Paul were the true expert of history he pretends to be he would know that while it’s nice and ‘democratic’ to talk about choice and such, in reality all political parties today can be put on one of two sides. Look at Italy if you want to see what ‘choice’ means in terms of elections.
So Paul can do his thing which strokes his ego, going around talking about 9/11 and OWS, and then he will keep going long after he should have parked this silly, self-serving dream of his, and will help Obama get re-elected. His fans will say “Don’t blame us,” but I will.
When I see Corzine getting a $12M payout on his way out the door, and they can’t find $1.2B...I tend to blame the corp, too.
I’ve been around long enough, and have seen so much corruption in big business, to know that things aren’t kosher there, either.
This corruption goes both ways. Sarah Palin was right to call out Crony Capitalism for what it is...corrupt collusion between big business and the government.
Bump dat!
GOOD post!
My understanding is that Corzine did not get that $12mm severance.
Now, the $1.2 billion? Still trying to find that
Are you supporting Wall Street bankers who got billions of bailouts? Who put their losses on the taxpayer and kept big bonuses?
You must support that, evidently. The OWS crowd is against that.
The "Occupy Wall Street" filth is about 97% communists, anarchists, anti-capitalists, Fabian socialists, anti-semites, peacecreeps, 9/11 truthers, Muslims/sympathizers, Black Panthers, radical homosexuals and that type. Do you support that?
The Occupy Wall Street crowd is probably only about 70% to 80% as you described it. The rest are idealistic young libertarians of various big “L” and little “L” libertarian philosophies.
There are almost no 9/11 Truthers in that park.
Peter Schiff headed down to Zuccotti Park and found out a good number of the young folk there are free market capitalists, many with libertarian leanings:
