When Gov. Sarah Palin was deciding whether or not to get into the presidential race, Karl Rove was popping up on Fox News to talk about why her skin was too thin for the job. And when Gov. Rick Perry was thinking about his entrance into the race, Rove was Johnny-on-the-spot with reasons why a Perry candidacy would not be viable either.
Now Roves moved on to Herman Cain, whose candidacy hes doing all he can to sink, sidetrack, or otherwise derail.
On Fox News this past Monday, Rove did his best Mr. Rogers imitation by holding up a small dry-erase board with words (and phrases) for the day like abortion, neoconservative, Afghan policy, etc. According to Rove, Cains gaffes in these areas have rendered him unelectable.
How so? Well, according to Rove: I think it has created an image of him as not being up to this task. [And] thats really deadly.
Of course, its important to keep in mind the fact that Rove is an establishment Republican who supports McRomney And if someone really wants to focus on gaffes, they should focus on McRomneys deception on hiring illegal lawn care workers, his full-blown support of Roe v. Wade not so long ago, his support of the assault weapons ban, his support of the Brady Bill, and his ongoing belief in manmade global warming, among other things.
But I guess all that wouldnt fit on Roves little board. Anyway, while on Fox News Monday Rove talked about how there was a hint that Cains numbers had peaked sometime between October 6th and October 10th, and they had begun to slide slightly since then. In other words, Move on, people; theres nothing to see here.
However, the latest Zogby poll, taken October 18-21, well after Cains supposed slide had begun, shows that Cain would trounce McRomney and, by extension, Rove into the ground.
And even better news is the fact that Cain doesnt appear to be the least intimidated by Rove (which is another quality salt-of-the-earth people love in Cain). However, he does appear a bit perturbed at Roves antics: Its a good thing the voters are not looking at Karl Roves little whiteboard. [Because] I believe it is a deliberate attempt to damage me because I am not, quote unquote, the establishment choice.
In the end, Cain is doing the right thing by brushing Roves duplicitous criticism aside and asking: Why not go with the choice that the people seem to like?
It really is quite simple: We can either have another Rove-anointed McCain who will lose to Obama again or we can let the Tea Party guide us to victory via the candidate of their choice.
My opinion Why not trust the people on this one?
Man, you better stop sniffing glue. Your brain has rotted.
Rove is a tool for the GOP establishment. I will vote for Cain in the Tennessee GOP primary. And I am sure many others will too.
Those who continue to delude themselves into believing FNC is conservative are fools.
Yeah, just like this bozo was the “architect” of McLame’s victory. I wish Hannity would stop calling this fool the “architect.”
Establishment, RINO, and worthless.
I am 100% committed to seeing that Mr. Cain gets the nomination.
Then, I plan on going to DC to see him sworn in as President Cain.
I don’t understand what you base your opinion on, bud.
Actually, karl is more of a locker room player.
Picks up socks and jocks, hangs around the toilets, writes little sayings on his white board, didn't you wonder why Mrs. Rove is his ex?
Karl Rove epitomizes why I will NEVER send another dime to the RNC. I distinctly remember GWB declining to endorse a conservative Pubbie for Governor in Virginia, and when the subject was broached, one of his staffers said “because we don’t endorse losers”. I thought at the time the words might have originated with Rove. In any event, my political donations go to the conservative candidate of MY choice, not the RNC.
—Rove was on again last night, coming up with all of the negatives for every candidate...hannity pushed him into a slight critique of Romney...—
Classic job interview tactic. You can count on the interviewer, if they were any good, to ask you for something you would say is one of your weaknesses. It is a land mine. The idea is to bring up something that is really a positive. A good example would be:
“Well, sometimes I over focus. I was on this one project and I had to find a really subtle bug in one of our web pages and by the time I found it it was 8:00 and I had no idea where the time went. I had to call my wife to apologize for being so late.”
Sometimes a joke about coming home with flowers seals the deal and you get the job.
Karl might have to live among ‘strange bedfellows’ now that Christine O’Donnell has endorsed Romney. Rove is not a booster but a destructive B@st@rd - I would not associate with him.

Karl Rove sounded a depressing tone for Republicans late Tuesday night, warning that surprise Delaware GOP Senate nominee Christine ODonnell has said nutty things and has ruined the partys chances of winning the seat.

Medved was talking about that yesterday. I think that is the way it normally would play out. But we are not living in normal times. The very stats Medved was using to make his point are now moving in Cain’s direction.
Conservatives are going for the brass ring this time. If we can’t beat Obama, we can’t beat anyone.
I have heard that Karl Rove, when giving a speech, can be quite funny. Going into comedy might be something he should consider.
Let Tokyo keep talking. Everyone is sick to death of him. He is talking himself into irrelevancy. Lets just get out of the way. Cain is hot, Newt is quietly rising. The GOP leadership just cannot face the fact that the republican base does not want Mitt.
I like Cain, Romney not so much. I do work with a woman however, who refuses to vote for a black person. She is an avid listener of Rush and Mark Levin. She said as much as she loves Mark Levin she would not vote for him if he ran for President because he is a Jew. This is all coming from a woman who pro-life and who donates to conservative causes. There maybe more people out there like Joan then we know about.
Romney isnt a true conservative but he will be the nominee.
It is what it is.
Well, from your lips to God's ears.
You spout your opinion as if it were fact.
Every person that is posting here has an opinion, some are fact based, and some, like yours, prove the saying, that opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.
Hey! I’m MC Rove and you can’t touch this! Hey! Didn’t you hear me??? Hey!!!
You got that right, GG2!
“The Statue of Liberty is kaput.”
This crap pissed off so much, I just made my very first political contribution, to Cain, just now!
