Republican superstar speaker Sarah Palin will be the headliner at the Republican Party of Florida’s Nov. 3 “victory dinner” fundraiser at the Disney Grand Floridian Resort in Orlando.

Palin, the former Alaska governor who ran for vice president in 2008, has been best known this year for not running for president and yet still drawing at least as much attention as the nine announced candidates.

“This gala dinner comes just a year before one of the most important elections in Florida and the nation’s history,” RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry stated in a press release issued by the party. “Having a Republican leader of Governor Palin’s stature and importance is yet again proof of the crucial role Florida will play as the year unfolds.....

Contrary to the naysayers, that lady is going to do far more good than most if not all the people participating in the debates. I really don’t think her support has lessened all that much and once she gets going with her stated intent, a lot of the fairweather supporters will be right back hooting and hollering for her.

And if you can’t make it, send her a card and say “Thanks”. Yes, I’m serious. Little things pay big dividends.

Sure seems to me to be the very definition of ‘cult’ behavior they accused us of displaying. And then there’s the infinite hypocrisy involved with energy as you say.

Palin, of all the people up there has the energy thing wired. I laugh after how many years of people screaming for a real energy policy not run by the Sierra Club and after SP being at the center of energy issues going back many years in Alaska, ‘suddenly’ a ‘Republican’ candidate jumps up with it as if he were first, and alone. Granted, SP wasn’t the originator, but she sure pushed the issue often.
