Considering the rat source for this article its veracity is very much in question. Having said that, this is a sad day after Sarah has withdrawn from the field, for this cycle. This country will be hard pressed find another leader of her caliber. Someone who embodies the American character in every particular the way she does. My fear is that by losing her we maybe letting the last vestiges of this great Nation slip away never to return.

I have a really bad feeling about where we’re headed, with Palin not in the race. Maybe Cain will step up to the plate and show the same kind of grit as Palin has shown in fighting corruption. Maybe she’ll be his VP, although what she said sounds like she wouldn’t really be up for that either.

I’m disappointed and scared.

I pretty much share your contention. Although I don’t begrudge Palin one tiny bit for her decision, due to grim and hellish scenario put before her... there is a lingering sense that evil has pretty much won the day, and has fully descended onto our country. Looking at things from the media to the culture to the national debt, it becomes difficult to argue that the USA has reached a point where it has become entirely unsalvageable.
