The only difference is that Christie is a MAN and so he will always be considered more ready for the presidency than Palin. I’ve certainly learned on FR that most conservatives do not want a woman near the oval office.
Well I say let Christie get in the race. At least that way he and Romney can share the same votes and cancel each other out.
I can’t take Christie seriously after his “suicide” comment. If he jumps in, I’ll actually have LOST a measure of respect for him. You can’t deny something THAT emphatically only to say, “Haha - psych! I was just kidding.”
Could anyone be more tone-deaf than Christie? He’s big enough that it will take awhile, but he will be chopped up and cast aside. A solid phoney.

Sarah’s strength of character and guts FAR FAR outshines anything Christie’s done, to date. (I’d say her guts bigger than his but, ...)
Took on GOP Establishment, corrupt politicians, Big Oil (Exxon, etc) and finally NAYSAYERS’ MINDS (to this day and even right here) when she stepped down as Governer of Alaska OUT OF PRINCIPLE AND GOOD OF THE PEOPLE, knowing she’d personally take a hit.
