But Perry's kind of hot and that will cut into Obama’s lead with women as they get to see him more, if he is the nominee.

And I'm saying this as a woman in all seriousness. Not saying I agree it should be that way, just that it's a fact. Same thing with Sarah Palin among men.

But that can’t be right, Perry created so many jobs, how can their unemployment be so high. He told us over and over and over about all the jobs he created....

We’re going to end up with both houses of congress either way. Even if he wins, he loses.

Two weeks ago, it was Perry 44, Obama 41. Today...........Perry trails Obama by 15 percentage points among women and barely leads among men. Perry trails among voters under 40, runs even among 40-somethings and leads among those 50 and older.........most voters over 40 voted against Obama in 2008. Perry currently attracts just 71% of the Republican vote

When will Perry realize he's not in Texas anymore? Perry gets away with mucho BS in Texas.....seems cattle country doesn't demand veracity ....or much else.....from its elected officials. Perry's campaign theme is "There's One Born Every Minute."

If Perry gets the nomination, I sure hope Newt will help him work on that debatin’ thang—it needs work! He has the best charisma of the ones running at this time. That’s a good thing, it will be needed against Obama.

If Cain gets the nomination he needs a little help with debating, too and at times I have difficulty understanding what he is saying, so I hope Newt would work with him.

If Newt gets it— it would be the VERY best debate EVER, watching Newt eat Obama’s lunch!

Romney gets it and I will just cry.

The others are done.

Unless someone else gets in, Perry for his charisma, Newt for his brains and grasp of all this crap, Cain for his business sense and humor.

I still can’t decide, though.

Rasmussen is usually pretty accurate - if this is, it may be an indication that our nation is beyond recovery apart from divine intervention.

That today a majority would STILL re-elect O is an indication that the disease may indeed be fatal.........

STOP it with this CRAP of polls.

The election is 14 months away. Others might enter the race.

If Republicans fall for this re-play of the MEDIA CHOSEN McCain, and we wind up with a Romney who is a lesser form of Obama, we will get FOUR MORE YEARS OF OBAMA!

The only fun thing about this thread is the Perry Krishnas who think he's so, um...er....."electable", the ones who keep pointing to polls will now have to defend against the very polls they've been trumpeting.

I've been saying for a long time, the Perry record on immigration will eventually kill him, not because it's a false allegation, but because he really is a border/amnestyLaRaza squish. The broad American public does no like that kind of stance, and conservatives hate it despite the efforts of the dems and the MSM

Any conservative that discovers his record on illegals will turn from him.

Doing the math, this only adds up to 85%. That means there are 15% who are either going to vote for another candidate, or are undecided. Most undecideds, according to the pundits, go for the challenger. So, if only 12% of the undecideds go for Perry, he still wins.

"Worse than this, perhaps, is that pluralities of both Republicans (37 percent) and independents (40 percent) think Perry’s views on Social Security will hurt his election chances.

That is the 37% or 40% that are totally disengaged and reacting to the media freak-out over Perry's insisting that the current path is unsustainable, which is the definition of a Ponzi scheme. In the end, Perry will win on this because he is correct.

Not much difference from Palin vs.Obama. If Perry falters, I think she’s in. I expected her to announce today (Constitution Day), but for the first time is six months I’m thinking it’s down to 50-50 that she’ll jump in.

Some of the early primary states have moved up their petition deadlines deadlines to get on the ballot, so the absolute drop-dead date is October 20th or thereabouts.

If the idiots are so scared of losing social security let's see what it looks like after four more years of Obama.

If this clown gets re-elected this nation no longer deserves to exist.
