The behavior by some members of the audience at the most recent Republican presidential debates has at least one campaign staffer concerned about the future of the GOP.
Sarah Reidy, the national director of scheduling for Jon Huntsman's presidential campaign, had some stern words for her own party after the audience at a debate in California applauded the number of executions during Texas Gov. Rick Perry's tenure, and then some in the crowd at a debate in Florida cheered when the moderator asked if a sick person without insurance should be left to die.
In a post on her Facebook page, Reidy, who joined Huntsman's campaign in August but was not speaking on its behalf in this instance, said the behavior made her "sick and sad" for the Republican party.
"For years I have tried to prove that the GOP isn't the Party of elitist, stereotypical people that lack compassion," Reidy wrote on her Facebook account Tuesday. "When did creativity and growth become secondary to hate? Hearing the debate crowds go crazy over things like executions and the uninsured dying makes me sick and sad for my Party that I devote my time and efforts."(continued)

Can we take a break from calling for Bachmann to drop out long enough to acknowledge that Hunstman is a democrat plant?
And the unisured dying cheer? Well that's Paulestinians for ya. And we're not responsible for them.
I was watching the debate, and I’m sure the moderator did not phrase the question that way. The audience was cheering personal responsibility, not leaving somebody to die.
Why does this guy still get ink? He is at what, less than 1%?
Oh ya, he is a lib and the lamestream media loves him.
Sarah who?
It is people like Sarah Reidy who make me sick and sad.
A well-funded Democratic plant as well.
The good news is the only candidate he’s going to take primary votes away from is Mittens Romney.
“The execution cheer was to say “screw you” to Brian Williams, as several of the people later said. NOT to “cheer death” as the liberal idiots insist.”
Yep, I’ve seen Serpent Head repeat that line a few of times since his “time to panic” opinion piece...trying to gin up a new mantra, I guess.
since when is passion something to feel “sick and sad” about?
Sarah Reidy is a Fascist Pig.
Sarah Reidy is obviously no conservative if she misunderstands the raucous jeering by the crowd of the liberal moderators’ loaded gotcha questions. She really needs to lighten up.
Huntsman is the guy Obama says he most fears to face in a general election and Rick Perry is the guy who he is the least afraid of facing in the general election.
I’ll take that one with a grain of salt.
wow...talk about your temporary jobs
“Huntsman is the guy Obama says he most fears to face in a general election and Rick Perry is the guy who he is the least afraid of facing in the general election.”
Even if true, there’s no point electing someone who is almost indistinguishable from Zero. Anyone who goes there is just concerned about power, not whether anything gets better.
Of course he is, and there are many more. Those of you on this board who dismiss this as ‘conspiracy’ craziness, ask yourselves if you do or not believe that Obama is a created persona. Ask yourself if you think he has deeper connections to Bill Ayers than “he's just a guy from my neighborhood”. Etc. etc. If you believe Obama is not all that he seems, then you should have no trouble believing that there are many individuals purported to be on ‘the right’ who are planted there by the left. Count on it.
stereotypical people that lack compassion,
I agree with him. He is sick and sad but I think I mean something different from what he meant.
Reidy is in the wrong party.
Well, for one thing, Huntsman was in the wrong debate . . . He's a dummycrat, hand picked by the media and lefties (ala McLame and Dole and probably Romney).
Anyone approved by the left should go face the asshat who's running unopposed for the dummycrats and leave us alone.
