Immigration issues can’t be dismissed by simply saying that states should handle it. If that were true, California could have its own policy on requirements for naturalization, and either all other states would have to accept those naturalized in Cal. as citizens with full rights, or we would have to divide into 50 nations. Gingrich actually suggested a similar mindless proposal earlier this year “similar to draft boards.”
I do approve of states helping to enforce immigration laws, and states and cities who do not fulfill their legal obligations to notify ICE should lose funding.
Are you confusing actual immigration with illegal border jumping? I realize the lefties and the media have been trying to confuse the issues for a long time but I didn’t realize they had been so successful.
