My wife's a teacher in Plano and as you might know, Texas in order to make sure they don't explode their debt decided to massively cut state spending to include education. She survived the cuts, many didn't. We know first hand that when it comes to spending, he's not into simply kicking down the can and willing to assume massive debt and have the sun shine on him for the few years he's in office. The point is this, ***where he has influence,*** he has shown to be fiscally conservative. What people are doing in this forum, is essentially take what a federal government is doing and the programs they mandate and states administer and blame Perry for that. That's BS.
You can't have it both ways. While Perry is being ripped into for cutting the budget (Just google “Perry budget,” or “Perry budget cuts”)and trying to maintain a semblance of sanity in debt, others are arguing he's spending to much and like Obama (lol). So which is it? Is he the draconian jerk the San Antonio and other liberal Texas media outlets portray him as, or is he the big spender some conservatives now try to portray him as?
