You miss the point. Palin is holding off with her decision until she has assurances from the owners of the GOP that the “establishment” will not torpedo her if she wins the nomination. How could you possibly believe tha party will have no say in the matter?
Because there are way more of us out here that are non-RINO. Palin does not need the blessing of the party hacks. Just as the commies took over the Dems, we too can take (back) the Republican party.
Remember all those Tea party candidates that the GOP actively fought against? The party got slaughtered. Sure, they won a couple, but not one of those winners had a fraction of the people behind them that Palin does...and they still won.
Basic math.
Kidding, right? Since when has the GOP "establishment" not torpedoed her at every possible turn? Hmmm? Seriously?
Sarah knows that they (GOP establishment) will continue to whale away on her, in fact, were they not bent on so doing, she wouldn't have to run in the first place. Hell, if the GOP establishment were willing to live up to the planks in the GOP platform (or at least not torpedo those who would be guided by it), Sarah could go back to being a Hockey Mom Grizzly.
The room in which Sarah lives, and the oxygen that she breathes there, is generated by the vacuum of conservative ideals in the actions of the GOP establishment to begin with.
That these complicit-with-the-Democrat Kabuki Player "Republicans" refuse to stand up for a constitutionally conservative gameplan is the entire raisôn d'etre for The Tea Party and a Palin candidacy.

I think you miss the point. Sarah has taken on the GOP establishment before. She is quickly becoming the third rail of GOP politics.
