Yes, there are all sort of alternative ways to verify the credentials of a candidate, but if Brewer had such a problem with the bill, why did she wait until it was passed by both houses to veto it? She clearly was in a position to voice those objections long before her veto last night. Her action is not leadership, it is gotcha politics and the question is what happened on her way down the church aisle to say “I do?”
Well, that was definitely a question I raised. She and/or her staff could have worked with the legislators to come up with a formula she would e willing to sign off on as Gov. Unless there’s some state conflict of interest law that prohibits the state executive and state legislature from working together on the wording of bills. I don’t know AZ law at all.
Hopefully they get it into a format that she will sign off on soon, i.e. before 2012.
Personally, I hope God damn’s the GOP, because they deserve to be damned by God.
I’ve no use for cowards, and most people for that matter. God gave us the gift of intelligence, and we’ve used it to advance Evil in almost every single corner of this earth.
In fact, there is so much Evil running rampant on this earth, that I’m going to say if my Lord is up there concerning himself with my using his name in this way to describe cowards who refuse to stand tall in the face of Evil, then we are damned, sir or ma’am, all of us.
And no, I’m not going to the kos. If you don’t like my language, then I’m sorry to you, but sometimes I get mad and disgusted enough to curse, and this is one of those times.

IIRC , the legislation that she vetoed was amended to give Obama a pass on the natural born citizen question.
