Palin Jets to India and Israel This Weekend
The New York Times' The Caucus ^ | March 17, 2011 | Michael D. Shear

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, leaves this weekend for a three-day trip to India and Israel.

Ms. Palin, who is considering whether to run for president in 2012, is scheduled to give a paid speech Saturday night at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi as the keynote speaker for the “India Today Conclave.” Her speech is titled “My Vision for America.”

“On her first visit to India, Governor Palin shares her vision of the country she may aspire to lead, and of America’s place in the world,” the group’s Web site says of Ms. Palin.

After the address, Ms. Palin will travel to Tel Aviv, where she will hold a private meeting with Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu on Monday before heading back for another paid speech in Florida on Wednesday.

In a statement on her Web site Thursday, Ms. Palin said the Israel visit was part of an effort on her part to discuss the political change in the Middle East, North Africa and elsewhere. Ms. Palin is traveling with her husband, Todd, and a small number of staff members.

“I’m thankful to be able to travel to Israel on my way back to the U.S.,” Ms. Palin said. “As the world confronts sweeping changes and new realities, I look forward to meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu to discuss the key issues facing his country, our ally Israel.”

For Ms. Palin, who was the Republican vice presidential nominee in 2008, the trip stokes speculation that she is preparing to run for president by demonstrating her grasp of foreign affairs....

3 days? Wow. She is going to be exhausted. I went from Korea to Annapolis for a Naval Academy Graduation and wedding in four days and was knocked out from it. :) She is going to sleep for a week after this.

And she will accomplish more for the US than Obama’s Rio extravaganza.

"My Vision for America"? Doesn't sound like the speech of a bystander.

India is treating her visit and keynote speech as a very big deal. The visit to Israel also has the potential to be a game changer.

The MSM socialist clones have upset stomach's trying to figure out how to spin all of this to make Sarah look bad.

The Indians and Israelis will discover the same thing I did when I saw her in person. She is even better looking in real life than on TV.

Her message to PM Netanyahu will probably be something along the lines of "hang in there...just another 600 days".

How can she jet off to India when there are so many problems for her to solve here at home? Huh? Oh, she is not actually a public official? Gee, she is showing the only leadership I have seen outside Wisconsin so I just naturally assumed....

“speech Saturday night at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi”

Nice Place! Back in 2002 I was evaluating a company in Gurgaon, near New Delhi, for a project with my US company. The Indian company booked me into the Taj Palace. WOW! Back then it was about $75/night.

Treat our Sarah well, India!

Unlike most of our politicians & media types, Palin must realize that India combined with China make up 1/3 of the world’s population.

Prime Minister Singh (who Palin met in NYC in 2008) will be at the conference in Delhi. Just a hunch, but he may have had something to do with bringing her there.

I love the use of the word “jets” nothing like the liberals using word choice to construct a narrative.....just like they used quit instead of resigned
