Ari Fleischer says there's no "way, shape or form" Sarah Palin can lock the Republican nomination.
"I cannot see any way, shape or form that she can win the Republican primary," Fleischer, the former press secretary to President George W. Bush, said as reported by the Idaho Mountain Express.
Fleischer, who was in Ketchum, Idaho to speak as part of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts' Lecture Series, said he'd never seen such a wide open Republican field, but that the former Alaska governor was not among the serious contenders....

I think he dates Shep Smith.
If the GOP ELITIST PIGS spent as much time and energy going after Obama like they do Sarah Palin, she wouldn’t have to run for president to save their sorry asses.
I bet you were saying the same things about Reagan in 1978.
RUBIO for President

Agree except there is the little matter of the natural born citizen requirement having non-citizen parents (not yet naturalized) at his date of birth. It would be a master stroke if he said “I would like to run but both my parents were not yet citizens when I was born here.” (Credit to another Freeper for this gem.)
And, had you bothered to check, you'd see that I am firmly not in the Palin Adoration Society camp.
I think he meant to say, “If she doesn’t get in line with us and start supporting globalism she doesn’t stand a chance.”
In any case, she cannot possibly be worse that what we have.
My choice for Post of the Day
I suppose you wouldn’t care much for Michelle Bachmann either. It’s time for the GOP establishment to either admit that they are lying Democrats or bend over for the TEA Party. Either way the masquerade is over. When Sarah Palin grew support for instead of sunk McLaim’s campaign; look how hard he worked to throw the election. Retarded Bush/McCain cooperation and affirmative action got us here. When the Bushey boys and their momma treat Obama as badly as they have Palin, then they might have some viable opinion.
Alex Koppelman at Salon was not impressed (with Ari). Now Alex might be a a delusional liberal pantywaist who still rides a bicycle. By choice. On the sidewalk. (Kathy Shaidle) but his take on Libby lawyer Ted Wells view of Fleischer is worth a punt
"After explaining that Fleischer agreed to testify only after getting immunity, Wells listed the reasons that government witnesses might be less credible than the prosecution has suggested: Memories change, notes can affect recollections, and some witnesses may have their own agendas. This last bit, Wells made clear, was all about Fleischer." If youve ever watched a mob trial, especially one involving witnesses who have been flipped by the government to testify against their former colleagues, then youll probably be familiar with what Wells intends to accomplish by talking about Fleischers deal: Call into question the credibility of the witness by suggesting that he may be telling more than he really knows in order to get a sweetheart deal from the governnment.
On the other hand, isn’t it just about time for unsafe and kind of threatening (at least as far as leftists and “moderates” are concerned)? I think so. It’s about time we ALL throw off those safeties and live dangerously for a while.
A Sarah Palin Republican nomination, with 72% of ALL voters believing that she would NOT be a good President, is Barack Hussein Obama's "take it to the bank" guarantee of being reelected President in 2012.
Yay. Another self-congratulatory "I'm the clear-minded objective realist just tellin' the Palin cultists like it is" post. Funny thing is that an honest to goodness realist--knowing that American political history is filled with unlikely victors and vanquished--would clearly understand that polling data of today does not equal the reality of tomorrow.
If she gets her name on the ballot she can win the White House. Period. Unlikely? Longshot? Improbable? Maybe. But "neighbor's cat has a better chance" "take it to the bank guarantee". History is littered with such rubbish guarantees.
Never, in the history of U.S. politics has one person with “no chance” had so much attention and articles written about them having “no chance”. I just think they protest too much. They must be scared and trying to convince themselves and others...The primaries will sort it all out. I don’t need Ari, Karl, George or anyone else deciding that for me.
“At least not if Karl, me, Jeb’s people, George Will, Chuck Krauthammer, the MSM, the RNC and the Romney team have anything to say about it.”
And that goes for the Bachmann Dame too.
Can’t wait till she declares. I’m predicting late April.
Sarah would have twice as many people at her speech than any other candidate, even if that candidate was offering free beer.
