Thanks for “refudiating” the 18 Months lie.

I have NO CLUE why she is going and speaking. As far as I am considered, she will be one more speaker at this event in a long list over the many years.
Now, there is only one single TRUE friend of India and that is my President George W. Bush. He will live forever as the only one who recognized and executed on one of the most strategic partnerships between my country, the USA, and my birth country India. Both Democratic. Both Free. Both tied at the hip! Forever! This despite the damage the current communist POTUS did to the relationship.
I noticed that.

The Ganges is probably a bad idea. The other two...why the heck not?
“The Obama administration has given keen attention to the South Asia republic”
Well, that’s one way to put it. I rather see it as largely snubbing India for the first year of his administration, and then grudgingly embracing the ties that President Bush worked so hard to build with that nation.
I think it’s actually 32 months, not 30.
Also, this article is somewhat misleading. Bill Clinton didn’t actually go the conference. He spoke to them from the US on satellite hook-up. I guess he was familiar with how that works from his WH days testifying.
But if she’s actually going and showing up I think that shows a bit more respect than just talking from some room in NY via video. Now, maybe showing up was part of the deal as far as the fee goes, but still.
It is a bit curious and India isn’t the first country that comes to mind when it comes to foreign travel or US allies, but there’s still plenty of time for that and I’d think it’s probably smarter and a better play to save a trip to the say the UK or Afghanistan or Israel or wherever for when you’re actually running. You get more coverage/mileage out of it then.
In the meantime, why not take advantage of this opportunity. It’s fairly lucrative and she gets to go check out a country she otherwise wouldn’t. Nice work if you can get it. Why not go to India for a few days. See the Taj Mahal, maybe check out Mumbai, Nepal, etc... It’s certainly more fun than just staying home in Wasilla, no offense.

By any standard that's still only a "half term."
