Politico reports:
President Obama on Monday once again brought up Mitt Romney's role in expanding health care in Massachusetts, in what has become a recurring political nightmare for the former governor who is seen as a likely Republican candidate for president.
Speaking to governors of both parties, Obama said Romney actually had a decent idea about addressing the country's health care system. "I know that many of you have asked for flexibility for your states under this law," Obama said at the White House. "In fact, I agree with Mitt Romney, who recently said he's proud of what he accomplished on health care in Massachusetts and supports giving states the power to determine their own health care solutions."
A Capitol Hill wag commented to me, "The president committed homicide. Intentionally, I believe."
This remark -- and many episodes like it -- will be gold for Romney's presidential primary components....

I don’t want Mitt Romney nominated simply because he’s the one the MSM keeps pushing on us. That’s enough for me. State Healthcare plan? Yeah, that stinks too, but I more dislike the idea of the media picking our candidate for us.
Mitz a doa
DOA
Romney’s campaign is disfunctional—broken at the conceptual level. The problems he has are not ones that can be altered or corrected, such as changing a position (though he’s of course so good at that) or dropping support for a bill—he’s running on the very thing that should make him unelectable, Romneycare.
Mitt Romney is a draft dodging chicken hawk. I think that alone ought to be enough to ruin his chances at becoming President but that’s just me I guess.
Romney’s plan is to help Obama and Soros (again).
Ah, Mitt....................
A candidate in the mould of McCain, Dole, and Ford.
He’s a sure disaster for the moribund GOP.
The Romneybots have been busy in the WashPost comments. Denial - it’s not just for Egypt any more...
I will not vote for Romney. No way No how. never!!!!!!
