There are a lot of interesting tidbits to be found in the tell-all penned by Frank Bailey, an aide to Sarah Palin while she was governor of Alaska, which draws on Bailey's firsthand experiences and Palin's own e-mails. Much of it confirms what we already know about Palin namely, that she's obsessed with her portrayal in the media, with gossip about her family, and with slights from her enemies. But of all the book's revelations, one that might actually be relevant/entertaining going forward, if Palin runs for president, is the nasty e-mail she wrote about Newt Gingrich.
Here's what Palin sent to her "team" after her scheduled appearance speaking about Gingrich at a fund-raising event was canceled:
Yes, (Newt/GOP) are egotistical, narrow minded machine goons but all the more reason God protected me from getting up on stage in front of 5000 political and media elites to praise him, then it be shown across the nation. Palin wrote in the e-mail.
At some point Newt would have shown his true colors anyway and we would have been devastated having known wed earlier prostituted ourselves up in front of the country introducing him and acting like that good ol rich white guy is the savior of the party, she continued.
Yeesh. Can't wait for the next time those two try to pretend to like each other. Also, Good ol' rich white guy? In private, Sarah Palin kind of sounds like Markos Moulitsas.
Any idea why she'd feel that way?
Although Newt has a good mind, the way he treated some of the women in his past may also have something to do with Gov. Sarah’s opinion....
Wow, Sarah despises Newt and calls Romney “Milt”. I like her even more.
Well he sat down with Pelosi for a good cause wasn’t it? To stop GLOBAL WARMING?
Oh pleeeeze! His good mind led him to align himself with Pelosi and the other libs? Of course, his flip flops will seep into his personal life but who gives a flip about that.
2ndDV...take a look at my longtime taggy...and, for the record, this just makes me like the Governor all the more.
Greg...don’t know if you saw this thread :)
Newts second of three wives.
‘Obsessed with her portray in the media, gossip about her family...’
After years of the most vicious, crazed, lunatic attacks on herself and her children and her husband, nuisance lawsuits, slanderous and lying e-mail attacks, photoshops, talk-show hosts openly declaring they are going to ‘go after’ her daughter Piper, nutcases moving in next door to spy on her, most if not all perpetuated by the homosexual organizations, who would not be concerned? They use the word obsessed of course.
I have often thought that the insane attacks on Palin are a sort of warning device; ‘See we can destroy whomever we choose, so YOU had better keep your head low and if you disagree, just murmur quietly’.
A sort of ‘see our power’ thing.
sick imagery!
So God personally canceled the event to protect her from herself? That's very obliging of Him.
The author, Frank Bailey has been described as "the quintessential disgruntled employee who had been denied senior jobs he sought, was cut out of Palins vice presidential campaign, and was caught up in the Troopergate scandal. That's an unimpeachable source for you.
As for Bailey's co-authors: Jeanne Devon is the publisher of an obsessively anti-Palin website (Mudflats), and is a hardcore Leftist blogger who writes for both the Nation and the Huffington Post
Ken Morris is a truly vicious Palin critic, as perhaps befits a former silver-spoon investment bank scumbag, who now use his blog to champion left-wing Progressive causes.
As I have alluded before: I am certainly not the world's biggest Sarah Palin fan, but she, her family, and the American public deserve better than this sort of garbage.
I call BS on this whole thing.
...and what is wrong with rich white guys??
Do you really think he quoted her exactly in a smear book? These little Roves disgust me.
Sarah Palin kind of sounds like Markos Moulitsas. Also sounds like him(?) when she’s praising USCode Title IX, the women’s college sports affirmative action clause, or when she’s calling former Senator Santorum a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal. If that what she thinks of Santorum, does she also see herself as a fish-clubbing Cro-Magnon?
Says it All! Scumwich dumped his dieing Wife on her Hospital Bed for his New Trophy Whatever!
