I thought that was a very nice very fair and good article.

So do I.

Right, the book and tv show, but she would’ve been famous without the book and in the spotight without the tv show.
It’s more of both, but it wouldn’t have been gone if she didn’t do them.

I did, too! It sounds like he's saying that he knew her when, and can't wait for the rest of country to know the woman that he knows.

The open letter intends to illustrate that Sarah Palin has changed. It rambles so badly that it fails to examine with any clarity just what changes the author imagines.

And yet, the worth of this article lies not in what changes may have occurred in Sarah, but rather why committed liberals never change.

Sadly the author hasn't the capacity to look backwards as well as forwards, and adjust his views of the world based upon results and experiences.

This is an author, who, when the last global warmist is finally ridiculed from the public square, will not use that as a chastening lesson to himself about being a dupe to leftist causes. He won't examine all that he was prepared to sacrifice of himself and others- simply because he was too suggestible and controllable.

When the western economy collapses over the insanity of debt-driven 'prosperity', and we begin the long hard struggle to rebuild- this will be one of those who weep on the curbside that those who won't work are going to go hungry, now. And doesn't learn a damn thing from the catastrophy.

So, sadly, there really is no redeeming value of knowing him, no existential angst about the loss of a fool, who functioned not as a thinking man, but merely as a biological tape recorder, repeating things he didn't understand, couldn't verify on his own, never conceived of doubting- thoroughly convinced that anyone who deviates from the party line...

... has "changed". What a waste of protein.

A Naderite who doesn’t have any example of how she has changed in a way he doesn’t like...’cept maybe she’s not an activist for a zero-carbon world?

"Palin’s electability can be reckoned as an inverse function of the virulent campaign intent on her delegitimation. … The greater the fury … she is met with, the greater the likelihood that she poses a genuine threat. One does not raise a mallet to crush an ant.”

The reality of what Sarah Palin does to liberals, maggot infected gays posing as journalists/writers, lesbians, abortion queens, and of course the kind and gentle Rinos is shown below:

there was nothing that Palin could do to make the fame and the limelight just go away entirely

Really? Because McCain picked her (she did not have to accept, did she)?

Name the last ten losing Veep candidates and tell us where they are today. Or just ask Dan quayle.

Sorry, but to suggest that, in spite of Facebook, twitter, fox news, Reality TV, book tours, etc, Palin has not sought fortune, fame and the spotlight is absurd.

No, I’m saying she did have to accept. She was doing what was right for the country or the party. It’s said that you don’t turn down the VP slot. It isn’t the right thing to do.

She couldn’t make the fame and limelight go away after early November.

She went up to Alaska, and they kept suing her and suing her. She was doing nothing newsworthy, just trying to be Governor of Alaska. But the media wouldn’t stop making her the story.

Because she is a star, and Joe Lieberman for instance not quite the star, or really anybody but Palin, she was unable to go right back down to being an anonymous governor again.

Palin should be able to facebook and twitter all she wants. No one else but Palin gets the scrutiny. I twitter, Palin twitters. The meaning of my retweets is not a national news story. And the only politician that the media seems to really really care about is Palin.

Palin did not seek fortune, fame and the spotlight.
McCain gave it to her. You always say yes, even if you don’t want the spotlight, because it’s the right thing to do. And once she was in the spotlight, she could not be out of it. She tried, and they hounded her in Alaska. She could make the spotlight dimmer, but it was still plenty bright no matter what she did. She might be able to dim the spotlight to an agreeable lumen value sometime later, but at this point we’re talking about levels of intense spotlight.
