Looks like Romney secured his position as an “also ran.”.
Yep, the Tea Party will have nothing to do with NitWitt Mitt.
And he is a RINO.
Of course no one involved in the Tea Party support a socialist and opportunistic fraud like Willard?
I think all the scheming and devious Romneybots should be purged from both the GOP and FR.
He doesn’t have to steer clear of the Tea Party - we are on different roads.
If true, I appreciate his honesty. I wouldn’t think pretending to cozy up to the tea party would work for him anyway; we wouldn’t buy it. He’s NOT my choice for president, but again, I appreciate his honesty.
I fail to see the downside in this - for the Tea Party.
If Romney thinks he can get anywhere without the TEA party he is a very slow learner, or else even further out of touch than most RINOs.
Since he isn't even remotely conservative, and the tea party by definition is fiscally conservative, I can see why he's avoiding them. I can also see why they would avoid him.
Fine. We’ll steer clear of his country club RINO, elitist ruling class ass.
Will someone get this guy a gig doing late night informercials selling a butt tightener or something and get him off the political stage!
This is the “Boston Globe”, after all. They have no understanding of the Tea Party movement, and it seems that they are continuing to try to force Romney on us as our candidate in 2012.
Romney prolly couldn’t handle a Town Hall. The Tea Party would shred him like we did the Congresscritters who voted for 0bamaCare.
LLS
Spoiler Romney: "I've seen the light.
It is opposite the Tea Party. It is ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE."
So Romney is TRYING to become acceptable to Obama and
the DNC and the MSM. Now why would he do that?
He can steer clear of them but they will not steer away from him.
Romney’s great hope is to find some way to become the candidate of the GOP, and then turn to the Tea Party and Conservatives and let them know that’s its either himself or 4 more glorious years of Obama.
The prospect of the above is not a great deal to look forward to, actually if the guy had a real concern for America he would not even run.
I mean, we just had the House repeal that draconian pile of crap Health Care law and he was THE GUY who built his own mini-montstrasity in Mass?
Mitt has the wrong ideas to be President, although he might make a good cabinet leader IMO.
"When it comes to leaders we have, if anything a superabundance. . . They are scurrying around, collecting consensus, gathering as wide an acceptance as possible. But what they are not doing, very notably, is standing still and saying, 'This is what I believe. This is what I will do and what I will not do. This is my code of behavior and this is outside it. This is excellent and that is trash.' There is an abdication of moral leadership in the sense of a general unwillingness to state standards."
Tuchman did have a way with words...
Mitt is a sure-fire 40-state loser to Obamsky.
