I was thrilled when McCain chose Palin as a running mate and was happy for her during that campaign. But several things she's said have given me pause (e.g. her deer-in-headlights answer to the question about her favorite founding father as "all of them, because they uhhh came together collectively") and I find her post-2008 PR makeover bizarre. American pop culture is a fetid sewer and she dove headlong into it.
Plus, after years of thinking about the subject, I really cannot vote for a woman. As a rule, they are not logical creatures. We are already suffering from our first female president. No mas!
I could tell you who I would love to have as president. President DeMint has a nice ring, but honestly, I don't see him as a viable presidential candidate. I had great hopes for Jindal, but while he's far smarter than the majority of the jerks in DC, he's a mess in front of the camera.
