Rudy: Let voters decide '12, not "so-called leaders."

Agree with you Rudy is a likeable guy and talks straight wether you like what he says or not....the others mentioned are mealy mouth politicans. If it wasn’t for Palin, I would not have voted for president in the last election...cannot stand McCain, Romney or Huckleberry..
“cannot stand McCain, Romney or Huckleberry..”
I cannot abide them.
Rudy has realized serveral things.
(1) He would have a good shot at winning the GOP nomination and the presidency in 2012. The big issues will be defense and economics—two of his strong points. Social issuse (his weak points) will probably be downplayed this election cycle.
(2) The GOP establishment is already lining up behind Romeny, and will attempt to hand him the nomination (personally, I think Romney is one of the few potential GOP candidates that might lose to Obama, but then I remember the GOP establishment pushed Bob Dole also).
(3) The only chance Rudy has to obtain the nomination is to get the GOP establishment to back out of supporting Romney and allow (for once) the party members to decide the nominee.
I’m getting the sense that Rudy is considering another run. When you look at all the candidates that ran for president the last time, Rudy seems like the one best able to cobble together support from both the Tea Party movement, and more conventional GOP supporters.
His stance on social issues is troubling (he is pro-choice, which is a no-go for many GOP voters), but the 2012 election will be about defense the economy.
In the face of all this conservatism, there is no way that the GOP could switch to pro-abortion and anti-gun, and expect to win.
Yet, I think that he would understand his role as AG and enact the policies of his boss, the pro-life President Palin. Giuliani is a good administrator and a fine lawyer. He would be very qualified to be AG.
Glad to see he is sticking up for Sarah, I think he sees the train coming and he wants to be on it instead of under it.
I'm not sure that this is simple politics. While there are parts of Giuliani's reported lifestyle that I strongly disagree with, there seems to be an underlying decency in him. Even when I disagree with his political positions, which is often, I appreciate Giuliani's honesty about them. Unlike a certain former governor who created the beta version of ObamaCare and still claims to be a "conservative" candidate, Guiliani reveals himself for who he is. While this might not gain my vote, it gains my respect.
If Palin is the nominee for POTUS, Rudy probably will be her VPOTUS.
The major downside to that approach is that it would restrict the field to only well-established GOP candidates. It would not allow for lesser known conservatives to gain traction in the primaries. Starting with low population states first levels the playing field between established GOP candidates and up-and-coming conservatives.
Extremely unlikely.
Those cowardly corrupt bastards are on notice.
Rush was on fire today.
Stay focused he said, and he's right, but he couldn't resist sticking up for her, just like we knew he would.
AGREEMENT 100%!
Yes, I had forgotten that. TO have a Senate seat from the RAT STATE!! What a lost opportunity.
Giuliani is a life long liberal and pro-big govt, pro-abortion rights, anti-2nd amendment, pro-homo rights... etc etc etc
Giuliani is no friend of conservatives.
> “Karl Rove, the angry misogynist, will not go quietly.”
.
Then he’ll have to go feet first under a sheet.
.
Hehehe, went from Webtv to laptop. It’s back to black. THAT was weird. :)
That is ridiculous, Giuliani is too leftist for republicans, and especially for Governor Palin to make her veep.
Ah, GOOD!
Woo-hoo, good for Rudy! Maybe he’s angling for a VP spot this time? Which is ok, too.
Rudy and Sarah are personal friends. I am glad he is speaking up.
I’m not surprised. I think Rudy is less liberal than some people think.
