#2 is McCain.
Thanks, McPalin!

The blot created by her endorsement of McCain pretty much overshadows any good she might have done.

Also evident in the Florida AG race ... Bondi won and I am convinced Sarah’s phone calls made the difference.

How can they say her influence was fading? In GA for example Karen Handel was way behind and in trouble of not even making the runoff before Palin endorsed her. Handel won the 1st round comfortably and ended up virtually tied in the runoff with a guy who was a long time GA congressman and was supported by much if not all of the GA GOP establishment and the other primary candidates.

Apparently her campaign made some mistakes going negative towards the end of the race or she would have won. Also the 3 week lag time hurt her momentum. As it was she ended up less than .5% behind. That’s not a bad final result given where she started out. I think she definitely did better as a result of the Palin endorsement than she otherwise would have. Same with some of the others she endorsed who lost but put up very respectable showings.

I don’t really think endorsements matter that much anyway in elections. I know I’ve never voted for someone because they were endorsed by someone else. Sure, it may help a bit, but in the end it’s not really a factor. Basically I think Palin’s endorsement provides an initial boost of coverage and publicity and then it’s up to the candidate to do the rest. Some do and some don’t. Local factors come into play.

Also, I don’t even remember endorsements being a big deal earlier. In 2006 I don’t remember the media paying attention to Obama’s endorsements in primaries or to Hillary’s. I don’t remember them paying attention to endorsements on the GOP side. I don’t remember any coverage of who Kerry endorsed in 2002 or who W endorsed in 1998.

I think this whole endorsement thing is just an excuse for them to attack Palin over.

Chris Cillizza acknowledges the obvious. On Morning Joe this AM, supposed experts Chuck Todd, Ron Brownstein and Charlie Cook talked about the results from yesterday, including Alaska, and did not even mention Palin’s name.

The MSM is dead from the neck up. She is sweeping the field, and they are deliberately clueless.

Next stop for Sarah Palin should be the Delaware Senate Primary (set for September 14) to boost conservative Christine O’Donnell and to take out uber RINO Mike Castle.
