Its Miller time!
“If the Alaska senate results hold up for Joe Miller, the former governor of Alaska will have shut them up permanently.”
I wouldn’t buy that. They’ll find some way to marginalize this, or just flat-out ignore Palin’s support for Miller.
In a shocking upset, Joe Miller is the winner of the Alaska Senate primary “if” the current vote projection holds for the Republican primary election.

Looks like it’s going to hold!
Joe Miller has lead from the get go!
I will wait to WOO-HOO till it’s final.
I’m warming up my WOO HOO, but I’s gettins tireds. ;^)
Ummm....what's a "game wife"?
Happy Happy News.....
With 61% of the vote counted, Miller has 51.56% of the vote to Murkowski’s 48.54%. His lead actually declined slightly percentage wise when the last 40 precincts were reported. As best I can tell those precincts were from Sitka (6 or 7), Juneau (2), a bunch of Anchorage precincts, some from Mat-su, etc. The precinct numbers I’m looking at indicate that there are fewer than a dozen Anchorage precincts out. There are still a few precincts from the Mat Valley & Fairbanks to report, but they are mostly in.
However, there are still 43 out of 46 precincts left from House District 6 (Southeast) PLUS note the following outstanding precincts:
Kodiak: 4 of 14 have reported
Dillingham: 2 of 22 have reported
Bethel: 0 of 27 have reported
Nome: 3 of 27 have reported
Kotzebue: 1 of 21 has reported
All I’m saying is that like many Alaska races, this one isn’t over yet.
just thinking....are we returning to having real men in govt?......am so sick of the silly wimpy types...
LOL.
Oh dear, I am so tired I’m slap happy. :^p
That’s some resume!
Gosh...I hope so!
Miller Holds Narrow Lead; Parnell Leads Field

Joe Miller held a razor-thin lead over incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski in the Republican primary late Tuesday evening.
Miller led the incumbent 51.47 pct (40,841) to 48.53 pct (38,507) with just more than 61.2 pct of the precincts counted.
A Miller victory would mirror other anti-incumbent wins around the country. The Murkowski-Miller race jumped into the national spotlight when Miller was endorsed by former Governor Sarah Palin.

I hope the lead holds. I guess we can count on a demand for a ‘recount’. If you recall, the last time the Dems lost an election in the North Pacific coast, they demand a recount and then ‘found’ the necessary votes in warehouse or two until they could claim victory.
You can sleep tomorrow. :)
That was in the general election, though. This is the primary.
BTW, Dino Rossi is giving Taliban Patty Murray a real run for her money!
*giggle*
Alaska GOP Sen. Murkowski in jeopardy
By LIZ SIDOTI

WASHINGTON — Her re-election quest suddenly in jeopardy, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski struggled to avoid becoming the latest incumbent lawmaker to be fired. She fought against a political novice with the backing of Sarah Palin and tea party activists in a stunningly tight Republican primary race.
With more than half of the precincts counted, little-known attorney Joe Miller, a decorated Gulf war veteran and self-described “constitutional conservative,” led 51 percent to 49 percent in contest that, in the end, amounted to an Alaska-sized GOP family feud.

That does make me feel good.
