Will Sarah Palin get a second chance at the presidency?

Palin for president? An ambitious woman in the quest for the ultimate position of power. McCaines bid for the white house in the 2008 election was an eye opener for the former Governor of Alaska. McCaine lured Palin to the tree of the knowledge of power, She tasted of the possibility to be first in her gender to occupy the vice presidency of the United States. Unfortunately the Republicans suffered an overwhelming defeat at the hands of the Democratic party.

Sarah, an unknown in the political world flourished as a celebrity, with overnight success. The pit-bull with lipstick is now the potential alpha of the republican and tea party movement. Sarah has proved herself a worthy opponent. Her image as the caring, down to earth mother figure used in McCaines campaign has proven to be affective. Adding that special touch of feminism to the recipe, may just be what the GOP doctor called for.

Palin's stand on major issues reflect the majority view (republican). As a potential presidential candidate she must excel above her fellow politicians . Ignoring ruthless tactics adopted by the party, and stale political views, blaming the present administration for the ill decisions of the past. Instead Sarah should focus on a remedy to the problems facing America and an antidote to counter act the mishaps of the past administration.

Time will judge as to palin's political future. Perhaps she will be able to pull the rabbit from the hat and be successful in her party's nomination . The American people have had to bare the burden of over rated politicians and empty political promises for a decade. Sarah's approach to the white house must reflect a different image then conventional politics. So far she has made no attempt to such a resolution, and seems content with politics as usual. In the famous words of Abraham Lincoln"you may fool all the people some of the time: you can even fool some of the people all of the time: but you cant fool all the people all of the time" Palin's most fearful opponent stands valiantly awaiting her challenge. History is there to bring to memory the sins of the G.O.P.A ghost that haunts the chambers of the republican party, whose only remedy is exorcism of the memory of eight years .

Is Sarah Palin capable of erasing the past from the memory of the American people? The Republican party has come up with some solutions such as illegal immigration and health care to induce amnesia on the nation. Will this be sufficient to ensure victory to Sarah Palin and the G.O.P. in the coming elections is yet to be seen.

It’s real simple. Because we all know the RNC would never endorse her as a candidate, the RNC needs to get its act together and put up someone clearly better than Sarah Palin if she decides to run as an independent and the RNC wants my help.

As soon as I hear the old BS about Sarah not being electable and some party RINO is, they’ve lost me. I already know what a DC full of Dems and RINOs is like, and I don’t want that. So they need to run someone better.

I’d really like to comment on the article you posted, but I have no earthly idea what the author was trying to say. It reads like an episode of Kafka goes to journalism class.

That was painful. If I understand this bubbling torrent of cliches correctly the author's political memory evidently extends back to the first Bush administration and not a great deal further. His junior high school English teacher will color this in a sea of red pencil when he finally gets there.

Since she has never had a first chance I would say the odds of a "second chance" is pretty slim, but her odds for a first chance at the Presidency is fairly high.

Brady, I'm sorry. That's a clueless comment.

I for one am now clear on my confusion. LOL.

Glad I could crack a smile. So what’s the RNC line on Sarah Palin?

Will Sarah Palin get a second chance at the presidency?

Sure, four years after she wins the first time.

Most idiotic sentence of the day on FR. If not the year.

"Is Sarah Palin capable of erasing the past from the memory of the American people?"

Yes, without question. Can she do it in time for 2012, that's more problematic.

Generally speaking, America loves a great second act - just ask Nixon. People wrote his political obituary after 1960 and then carved in it stone in 1962. Look how that turned out - Nixon won over 300 electoral votes, and would have won close to 350 if it weren't for Wallace. BUT, 6 years (in California and 8 years nationally) also elapsed between when he lost, and when he won.

Politicians are like Beer.

If your only goal is to sell a lot of beer, the idea is not to have a distinct taste like so many of the micro brews, but to be “acceptable” to the largest consumer base.

IOW, the goal is not to see how many people you can get to like your particular flavor, but to be bland enough to not turn too many people off.

Sarah is Alaskan Amber. I love the stuff, but Budwiser outsells it by a huge margin. Sarah’s future, IMO, is to be a form of Beck or Limbaugh.

However, I have one caveat: The Lord may have different plans.

Sarah Palin will be the Republican nominee in 2012. The RNC is a non-factor in the actual determination of the candidate. It is not allowed to favor any one candidate in the primaries and only endorses the presidential candidate after the nomiating convention.

Some Party insiders/RINOs are likely to work in opposition to Palin but the Republican rank-and-file will vote overwhelmingly for her against the others in the field during the 2012 primary season.

Sarah is getting the nomination. Book it.

"The RNC needs to put up someone better if she decides to run and they want my vote."

The RNC doesn't put anyone up for national office - voters do. The national parties don't endorse or select candidates on national tickets - or at least they haven't since the advent of the primary system (I think) in 1908 or 1912 - sometime VERY early in the last century.

Conservatives don't pick candidates. Moderates don't pick candidates and Republicans/Democrats don't actually pick national candidates. Delegates do - delegates who are apportioned based on voter's votes do, and voters include independents. Whomever wins the nomination is going to have to do it the old fashioned way - by earning it.

I adore Sarah, but yes. I agree she would not be elected.
The Republican party does not support her nor do the majority of Americans,
I think the ‘Rats did too good a job painting her as an airhead.
Maybe take time to build up a good rep, let Americans forget the hatchet job and try for ‘16.

>>I wouldn’t feed RomneyBeer to my cockroaches.<<

I forgot to include just plain nasty beers. I can’t drink the last half inch of a PBR. I’ve had two of them in my life, both on separate occasions. In both cases, when I got to that last half inch in the bottle it started tasting reminiscent of vomit.

I kid you not. I avoid the stuff now.

Red Oval (trader joes) is awesome for half a buck a can though. :)

IOW, the goal is not to see how many people you can get to like your particular flavor, but to be bland enough to not turn too many people off.

That sure doesn't fit my memory of colorful and intense, and unique politicians like JFK, Nixon, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Reagan, Bill Clinton. None of them were bland or generic.
