Heres a new entry into the GOP 2012 presidential field (and by new I mean so old hes new again): Jeb Bush. On his show this morning Chris Matthews pondering who might beat Barack Obama in 2012? This of course is the question plaguing the Republican Party. For all the attention and hoopla surrounding Sarah Palin no one is really convinced that even if she could snag the Republican nomination she has any shot at beating President Obama in the general.
Matthews points out that what Jeb the Bush brother the family had originally intended for the White House has going in his favor is executive experience, crisis experience, and hes popular with Hispanics (the amount of Republicans that can be said for is ever-diminishing), plus he has some credit with the Tea Partiers. Also, he apparently has not been exactly denying the speculation of late.
Norah ODonnell thinks Bush would make a formidable candidate and that if he does get in the race Sarah Palin would have to change her image drastically: Two thirds of Americans still think that she is not qualified to be President of the United States, and she has not proven that she has the organizational skills to put a team together.
Howard Fineman notes that while the Bush brand may be damaged nationally they are still strong in the royalist Republican party.
John Heilemann points out that what Jeb has going for him is that he is a serious conservative who positive ideas: Hes not just a Party of No, guy. Weve got a helluva story if he does, concluded Matthews. Watch below.

When you’re for open borders & blanket amnesty, you’re a RINO in my mind.
Give me a break...she's doing great as is. You guys are so afraid of her the stink of the fear literally rolls of of you.

Yep!
She knows where the true political power is contained.
“Jeb Bush is hardly a RINO, and he is about a million times more qualified to be president than Palin.”
:::::::::::::::
Great humor. Sounds like a Bill O’Rielly knock-off. Want some more of that “compassionate conservatism”?
“The Left would like nothing better than to see Jeb win the nomination.”
Exactly!
Jeb Bush winning the Republican nomination would ensure that a Conservative would be a third party candidate splitting the Republican vote. Can’t believe that the media is so conspicuously in the tank for Obama 2012 this early in the game.
You could say Bush gave us Obama.
“Jeb Bush had 2 successful terms as Governor of FL; Palin couldnt make it through 1 term in Alaska.”
That is an asinine comparison.
Jeb Bush didn’t have have to spend ALL his time and ALL of his personal money to defend against bullshit lawsuits that the left was filing almost daily. Faced with the same situation as Palin, Bush would have had no choice but to do the same thing.
Please, if you must display your PDS at least come up with something more original than the “she quit” mantra the left likes to trumpet.
Yeah, she’s such a bad candidate that she had McCain even with Obama in the polls until the Wall Street meltdown, won a governorship without establishment backing and is set to get dozens of candidates elected to statehouses and congress, mostly from her keyboard. Instead, ‘let’s nominate someone like Mitt Romney, so the Democrats can complete their radical reconstruction of AmeriKKKa!!
Sorry he is way below RINO like RINO crap,He supports Open borders and the Illegals and does half his speeches in Spanish and is NO DRILL.He is against the Arizona Law and says we should leave Reagan behind. Plus his kids like to get arrested.
Wouldn’t it be really ironic in the Back to the Future election of 2012 (with reference to 1980) if Palin picks Jeb as her VP?
The Republicans have to accept the fact that there is a new game in town and bend to the wishes of the people. Conservatives are not necessarily going to vote Republican, they may just stay home if no-one captures their beliefs.
And in that case it might be 4 more years for Obie!

America is done with the Bushes- esp. conservatives.
America is done with the Bushes- esp. conservatives.
No more Bushes or any other Northeastern Establishment, Country Club Republican. We need someone like President Reagan again !
Jeb makes George look like Tom Tancredo on amnesty.
Dear freaking god nomore bushes.
You are utterly, absolutely, and totally correct.
Two burnt Bushes in the yard is enough! Media Whores, Beltway Butt Boys and Potomac Girly-men attempting to set the storyline, distracting the public and building in confusion.
I've been trying to convince my fellow conservatives that they have been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we'd never see his like again because he was one of a kind. I was wrong! Wednesday night I watched the Republican National Convention on television and there, before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he's a she. And what a she! This was Ronald Reagan at his best -- the same Ronald Reagan who made the address known now solely as "The Speech," which during the Goldwater campaign set the tone and the agenda for the rebirth of the traditional conservative movement that later sent him to the White House for eight years and revived the moribund GOP. Welcome back, Dad, even if you're wearing a dress and bearing children this time around.
~Michael Reagan, radio talk show host and son of President Ronald Reagan
I certainly hope so. Bush41 brought us Clinton. Bush43 brought us Obama. No more Bushes ever.
