Did you read the article? It makes an interesting point that to foil a Palin presidency, Bloomberg will enter the race as an independent and syphon votes from her.
I think that is veruy plausible. Getting into the race late might put Bloomberg on his heels.
Anything can happen, the fact however is that Obama ain’t going to leave easy regardless of Hillary etc...
“...with more anxiety than a constipated monk at a nudist colony.”
Now THAT is quite a line!
Yep. Since the ‘quitter’ meme has lost traction, we’re now subjected to running metaphors and animal kingdom comparisons, such as a ‘sprinter, lacking endurance’, a ‘cheetah’.
Now, if anyone has actually read about Palin, her team had ZERO chance at the championships. The woman led her team to the big game and won...whilst she hobbled around on an injured ankle- but still played. Some will say, ‘that’s ancient history!’ But it clearly shows, even at a young age, the grit and determination of this woman.
She alluded to this in ‘Runner’s World’ saying she wasn’t a fast runner, but she’s got endurance and will hang in for the entire race. IMO, she was poking a jab at Zero, intimating he’s a flash in the pan. [Which would be accurate. He strikes me as a low-hanging fruit kind of guy. The path is always cleared for him in advance.]
Oh, that post just proved the Admin Mod lied. Thank you, sir!
His record as Governor was awful.
I’ve been thinking Daniels would be an okay choice.
But if Bush’s people all want Daniels.....
As a resident of Indiana, I can say that Daniels has been a fairly successful governor and might make a good President. I have qualms about him, though.
The Bush people appear to lining behind Romney. However they may break away from Romney should Daniels or Barbour run. According to politco, there appears to be a deal between Daniels and Barbour that one of them will run in 2012.
Also Daniels recently said that the GOP needs to call a truce with the American public on social issues and focus only on fiscal issues. Huckabee called Daniels out on that comment. Within days, Daniels back tracked and said atheism leads to brutality like the Khmer Rogue in South East Asia.
