More times than McCain did, but I didn’t run for President, and I don’t think I’m God’s gift to the US Senate. Just what the hell is your point?

Oh yeah. He’s the one who made it acceptable in the US. Read Jonah Goldberg’s book Liberal Fascism. It will blow your mind.

You are a piece of work, 0811.

All rabs did was QUOTE McLoser’s own words. That’s not Rabs’ words—that’s John McStupid’s words.

He actually considers his greatest success the crashing of four Navy planes. Yeah, that’s a real knee slapper, there!

I did not think that was funny or clever. If you have been in the Senate for 24 years,I’d think there was something
OTHER than crashing taxpayer paid for planes and diminishing the stockpile of American flying equipment during the Cold War to be “your greatest success”.

After you castigate Rabs for quoting John McDummy in his own words, you then have the gall to criticize Bayliving’s service on a aircraft carrier as not rising to the level of putting his life in harm’s way! Wow, surely you realize that we probably lose many men in non combat accidents every year just performing their assigned jobs.

You need a chill pill, pal.

Try to remember that the real reason we have Obama is John McTakeADive’s pisspoor campaign performance—you know, the old “Fight with me!” BS.

If you don’t like Rabs’ articles, don’t click on them. But you can’t criticize Rabs for just quoting John McLooney’s own words.

And BTW, cut the crap about Virginia, or go find a home on DU. We don’t stalk around here, and you are welcome to find a place where you can enjoy that pasttime with other libtards.

I'm not a McCain fan at all, but let me ask you and all the other smarmy McCain haters just one question: How many times have you gone in harm's way while defending the United States of America?

Irrelevant.

Folks, I’m beginning to think we’re getting paid ringers in here disrupting and spinning for John McCain.

We get one shot every six years to get rid of the worst Senators. John is our worst Senator. The time to swap him out is now, and I’m not going to have any patience whatsoever for folks who wish to short-circuit what needs to happen right now.

Absolutely correct FRiend.

And what is appalling about this thread is that Rabscuttle385 posts McCain's own words, and Rabs ends up being assailed, insulted and STALKED by some nutcase.

On another thread I was called a moral relativist for saying it was improper to support John MeCain for re-election.

I fired right back that it was moral relativism to rationalize away any objection to MeCain, so you could support him for re-election.

Then I told the person they really didn’t grasp Conservatives concepts very well.

BTW, I agree with regard to Rabscuttle’s quotes. He’s dead on target and the person criticizing him was a nut job.

It seems to me that more and more people (both here in the real world on FR, and out there in that place people seem to think is 'reality' lol) are basing their political views on *personalities*, specifically celebrity personalities and not on the positions espoused by those personalities. I cannot imagine our early American ancestors waxing poetic and gushing about the silvery long manes of Benjamin Franklin while ignoring what he was saying about the issues of the day. Ditto for all of our revolutionary Founding Fathers. They stood for something, and our citizens KNEW what they stood for, and that was their primary consideration, not their smile, not their resonant voice, not their ability to wink at people and win over the crowds with superficiality.

Today, our society is mostly a shadow of our former national self, and I'm not sure if we'll recover or not and if we do, it won't be peaceful, it may well end up violent and it won't be pretty.

And our enemies might turn out to be those who at one time we considered our ideological kinsmen.

We live in a frightful age.

I quite agree with your comments.

Look, what saddens me is that I check out some of the people who are fronting for MeCain, and they’re actually some pretty good people. Frankly, I’d rather see some wing nuts backing him. At least you could chalk it up to someone who doesn’t know their ass from a hole in the ground.

What we have going on here is people going squishy, and thinking that’s what Conservatism is all about.

MeCain is not a statesman. He’s a turncoat who fronts for people like Soros, Kennedy, Feingold, Kerry, et al. He fronts for the Democrats and their policies and the prospect of an Obama administration. He shared some of Obama’s goals, and congratulated him for cutting the F22 and other programs.

Somehow, people on our side are being twisted like a pretzel to think those who have pegged MeCain for what is is, are the ones who are wrong, and MeCain is just swell for actually doing what he has.

We’ve got a real problem here. If we can’t unite against a guy like MeCain, what hope have we?

What hope you ask?

It honestly comes down to hope in God, Chronicles 7:14, and millions of guns and cases of ammo stashed away all across this land that I sincerely hope will not have to be used, but my expectation is that we will ultimately witness our very own American version of Tiananmen Square, provoked by this illegal 0bamunist regime and the response by We The People will determine if we will once again be a free Nation, or if we will just fade into the history books as a Republic that “we couldn’t keep”.

I’m going for a walk. Enjoy your upcoming Wednesday FRiend.

“How many times have you gone in harm’s way while defending the United States of America?”

Benedict Arnold was a legitimate war hero once.

Yet, most of the posters on this thread jumped Rabs for quoting John McCain. McCain is the one who gave the stupid answers! Kill the messenger! THAT is what got us Obama. Will they ever learn????

I wish I had an answer to your very good question. It appears to be the same dynamic that makes a woman stay with some freak who beats her.

Amazing, discouraging.

There’s a lot of that going around. From Obamabots to Bushbots to McCainiacs to Romneyites....

At least there are still a few Americans here.
