“If Sarah Palin somehow gives McCain enough votes to put him over the top...”

This is my biggest fear. Most Americans don’t follow politics like we do, and even conservative leaning folks who don’t follow politics much are likely to be swayed by Palin. She alone could take Hayworth down with her popularity.

My concern also. Like it or not, Sarah Palin has acquired through no fault of her own, a 'rock star' aura about her and that is a powerful weapon in the political PR war of images and sound bites.

Again, if Sarah Palin provides the edge that McCain needs to retain his Senate seat, each and every piece of legislation that McCain puts his name on over the next 6 years should have Sarah's name on it too, because she will be the reason that he returns to Washington to introduce that legislation. Words and actions have consequences.
