State Senator To Challenge Rep. Tim Holden (PA)

Rep. Tim Holden (D-Pa.) might have his firs serious re-election challenge since winning a Member versus Member contest in 2002.

State Sen. Dave Argall (R) will announce Monday morning in Harrisburg that he is going to challenge Holden for his central Pennsylvania House seat. Holden has always won re-election with at least 57 percent of the vote over the course of his nine terms in Congress, except for when a GOP-led redistricting plan pit him against then-Rep. George W. Gekas in 2002. But even though Holden has won by convincing margins over the course of his career, national Republican candidates have consistently won his district since 2000.

I would love to see Holden lose. I saw him once where I work. He was coming to visit a friend of his who was a patient. He was one arrogant prick.

The GOP scores yet another recruiting success. This is very encouraging.

A few more months of Obama, Pelosi and Reid and all Dementocrats will lose. Except for those with a Bus Station near the office. Hawaii Dementocrats are in big trouble. There are no Greyhoud Stations there.

Excellent news! And I heard even better recruiting news from PA: ex-Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, who was defeated for reelection in the Bucks-County-centered PA-08 by just 1% in 2006, will be running to reclaim his seat.

I think that the GOP will pick up between 5 and 8 House seats in PA in 2010.

No doubt! It’s not just that so many Republican challengers are running, it’s that so many STRONG Republicans challengers are running. The winds really have started to shift in the right direction.

Fitzpatrick hasn’t announced yet? I apologize for jumping the gun, I had read on another website that he has already decided to run.

Excellent, no one in a GOP seat should get a pass.

I hope Fitzpatrick runs too.

Former USA Mary Beth Buchanan or State Rep. Mike Turzai needs to get in the 4th district race.
