Had Moran run back in ‘02 for Governor, we could’ve avoided the whole Gilligan-Sebelius fiasco from the get-go. I’m not very enamored of Brownback anymore. I think he has been in DC too long (will have been 16 years by Jan 2011), and that may show up once he gets to Topeka (a la Frank Murkowski, Dirk Kempthorne, etc.). Former Senators rarely make good Governors. Our last “R” Governor in TN was a 12-year Congressman, and he ended up a disaster.
Probably not.

Brownback is running for governor for one reason and one reason only, to run for president. What he does to Kansas in the interim and who he does it to doesn't matter so long as it futhers that goal.
