Sarah Palin is just beginning to fight… and win
Israpundit ^ | August 16/09 | Ted Belman

On August 7th, Sarah Paling wrote in her facebook page

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

That reference to death panels caused a storm of protest from Obama's supporters and Palin haters. But it only took seven days for them to capitulate.

Wall Street Journal covered the story under the title Palin Wins . Everybody ran for cover. The sub-title for the article was If she's dim and Obama is brilliant, how did he lose the argument to her? But Palin is not finished yet. Attack, attack attack. She just posted another ballistic missile

Troubling Questions Remain About Obama's Health Care Plan

I join millions of Americans in expressing appreciation for the Senate Finance Committee’s decision to remove the provision in the pending health care bill that authorizes end-of-life consultations (Section 1233 of HR 3200). It’s gratifying that the voice of the people is getting through to Congress; however, that provision was not the only disturbing detail in this legislation; it was just one of the more obvious ones.

Crystal clear and understandable statement by Palin. Where are the rest of the Republicans? It seems as if they’re just “monitoring” the situation.

There’s a jab at porkulus too:

“foster a strong economy ... The current administration’s economic policies have done nothing to help in this regard.”

Good question.
Is it just me, or do folks not find it strange that we haven't even heard a whimper from Juan McCain about 0bama’s nasty 0bamacare bill?
Seems Juan McCain is being Juan McCain. His worst attacks are saved for conservatives and Republicans. What a loser!

Outstanding! I wish I was in America to be able to attend the 9/12 event in DC, but I am a school nurse, and I begin work next week in Germany at our military base. However, if I could attend, I’d be carrying my own signs, reading: It is high time to begin impeachment proceedings to remove this traitor (Obama) from office.

When you think of the oath of office that he took, both as a US senator and now as President, he is operating outside the office of president to bypass the US Constitution and make it null and void. He is not keeping his oath in good faith.

Aside from the various talk radio hosts out there, Palin’s is the only politician who seems to understand what is going on outside the Beltway. Republicans are counting on Democrat self destruction alone to propel them back to prominence, but they forget the second part of the equation...they have to give us something to vote for. That means fresh, conservative meat. Not the old rancid RINO b.s. They better get their act together, or they will find a turnover in congress that favors neither party. Rather, we'll have simply another House divided by fresh contenders at each other’s throats.

I don’t know who wrote this, whether its Palin or an aide, however, it is well written, knowledgeable, accurate and clear. It is not something written by a dummy, that Palin is made out to be.

We need to have another 2-3 sound bites like that ‘death panel’; something that can easily be understood by ordinary people and not vague. Calling the 0bamacare ‘socialism’, ‘not constitutional’, etc. are examples of the latter.

I too ask the question. Where are the Republicans.

Who pushed the mute button on them?

Sarah is the only one with the courage to speak out.

The Des Moines Register editorialized that there was no such thing as a ‘death panel.” They got dozens of replies about the group “Compassion and Choices,” the new name for the Hemlock Society. The Hemlocks wrote section 1233 of the legislation; they want to become the Planned Parenthood of death for America.

The only "aides" Palin have are her family. She doesn't even have a job at the moment. I pretty sure she wrote it herself and passed it off to Todd for a quick edit.

Where are the rest of the Republicans?

Busy writing their own version of a socialist "reform" bill instead of standing up for the free market. Letting themselves be defined by the enemy (whom they still don't seem to recognize) and playing Watch Me Follow The Leader with legislation.

Just a guess.

You can find them when they ask for contributions.

Sarah Palin has been writing op eds in the same clear style since before she came onto the national scene. It's her writing.

Sarah is not only making the Obama Inc. look bad, but a lot of RINOs as well. People are starting to see the good, the bad and the ugly.

I agree! The big Zero swore an oath to ‘protect and preserve the constitution, so help me God’..........

Most of what he has done is unconstitutional.

I don’t even think he even IS a Christian. When has he ever said, “God bless you, and God bless America”, like Sarah and GW have done when they finish speeches??????

Name one time!

Palin is no dummy.

She scares both major parties which shows the depth to which the Republican party has fallen. We need a Palin in every federal, state and local election to get out of this mess. RINOs ain’t gonna do it.

It seems as if they’re just “monitoring” the situation.

It's what they do best. Palin could become our litmus test for 2010 and beyond when evaluating candidates and incumbents.
