Americans have a poor picture => envisioning three federally funded eco-bolsheviks as part of their local zoning department/jurisdiction. They picture an arrogance busy body making house calls. Maybe check the wattage of their daughters hair straightener, who knows how bad the picture will get.
They picture punitive practices.
They see a general disregard for property and privacy rights.
They already know: “you can’t fight town hall”.
They now there will be no knowledge of wrong doing, ever, for fear of litigation. They now the local government will waste vast sums to defend entrenched (personal) positions.
They see the picture, their disgusted already.
