“We are in danger of becoming a regional party,” McCain explained. “Republicans need to be more inclusive, need to include people whose values line up with [the] party, but maybe don’t agree on every single issue.”

McCain is being vague, as most Republicans who say that deliberately are.

What are to be considered the core Republican values?

I vote for privatization, Constitutional rights, the Right to Life, and border security.

What are to be considered the expendable issues on which it is O.K. if Republican politicians "don't agree"?

I vote for unnecessary involvements in the Middle East, pandering to big corporations, polluting the environment, and "trickle down" economics in general.
