Dino Rossi, pro-business, decently conservative credentials, almost won the gubernatorial race here in 2004 and if dear leader hadn't duped the world, would have won it in 2008.

Gregoire is suffering currently in the polls: "Finally, an unrelated but interesting poll result: Gov. Chris Gregoire’s approval rating is 44 percent as compared to 57 percent for President Obama. The poll says Gregoire fares worst among independent women with only a 32 percent approval rating."

With the right candidate, at the right time, Republicans and conservatives can do decently well statewide here, as outside Seattle, this state tends to be WAY more conservative.

Rossi might be a better candidate. He was robbed in ‘04 and Her Fraudulency rode the False Messiah’s coattails. Dr. Salazar is going to be a second tier candidate and the moronic Murray has beaten not one, not two, but THREE first-tier candidates in a row (Congressmembers Rod Chandler (’92), Linda Smith (’98) & George Nethercutt (’04)). Unless we excise the Communist black hole surrounding Puget Sound from the rest of the state, it is near impossible for a Republican to win those three key offices.

Not in SW Washington....the Portlanders keep moving here changing the demographics. It really ticks me off, I wish they’d stay in Portland.
