Her father was a respected black journalist in Chicago. I wonder if he would have approved of what his daughter has done to screw their own people?

No, Jarrett was married to the late Dr. William Robert Jarrett, son of the late Sun-Times columnist Vernon Jarrett, for five years. She divorced him, but kept the name, which has some prestige attached to it in Chicago's black community.

Her maiden name is Bowman, and her father is also a doctor.
